Somehow on the 40 man shortlist for the Golden Boy award with the likes of Joao Felix, Jadon Sancho and the like.
Indeed, wow. Was he exceptional at U23 / U18 level? More importantly is he going to be a 160+ potential on FM20 then?
Weirdly, a lot of them on there have some real first-team experience under their belt. Seems a strange one.
The stuff I've read on him seems to suggest he was very highly rated by City (and was going to start in a league cup match just before he made it known to City that he wouldn't be signing a new contract), I've only seen limited clips of him playing for the U23s so couldn't tell you whether he was exceptional or not, but going purely on what I've read I'd imagine he was pretty good for their youth teams.
Can't see him on the list of 40, but could've been in the first listings (which are top 100). Sarr made it to the top 40 last year though.
No doubt this is the high point of it all for him before he leaves on a free in a couple of years to go play for Plymouth or Rochdale. I suppose someone will quote me on this when he goes on to be a world beater...
Edit: What's with these ******* asterisks? ou quoi's avec ces ******* asterisques?
What has happened to this fella? Is he injured, or did I miss a loan to North Bumcrack United in the fourth tier of Orkney Islands football?
Injured apparently with no mentioned return date. I think over preseason and the early part of this season we have had Masina, TDB, Perica, Gray and Kiko all pick up some form of injury.
How much of a role will he play this season? Obviously has talent, did well against Tottenham, but does seem lightweight, a bit like Quina ahead of him, you'd think it would be best if he's with someone a bit beefier
Looks like a bad one. Lots of well-wishing from the squad online and "you'll come back stronger". Going to need a new midfielder. Gutted for him.
Oh ********, and totally unnecessary, he should have come off straight away! I thought the initial injury looked pretty bad, keeping him on was never going to do him any good
Putting a positive spin on it, which is nice, I hope he has a reason to be positive and isn't just putting a brave face on things!
Typical of our luck, we get a lad who looks to be making the step up to the first team and bang, he gets injured I hope the kid is OK and that the injury it is not too serious so that he can be back playing very soon.
When someone goes down under no contact, several yards away from anyone else it’s usually pretty bad, especially when it’s the knee that’s gone. I am however really hoping that it can’t be too serious as he wouldn’t have been able to play on for another 5 minutes if it had been as bad as Geri’s, for example.
New meat for the physio team to play with after their success with Welbeck. they must have been gutted when Deleufou insisted on a rehab in Spain.
https://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/18771405.watfords-tom-dele-bashiru-six-months/ ACL injury. More good news for us
Up to 6 months with ACL damage according to Watford Observer. https://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/18771405.watfords-tom-dele-bashiru-six-months/
A real shame. It seemed pretty clear what had happened when he went down initially, and I couldn’t believe he tried to play on. He looked pretty good in the flashes we’d seen of him so far this season. Hoping he’ll have a quick recovery and be ready to start pushing for his chance to play before the end of the season.
