At least Spurs now also have a replay before our league game with them.
And Mourinho is more focussed on a trophy than us as evidenced by the strength of his team vs Boro today.
With Kane also out its good news for our chances.

    Poor old Everton.
Liverpool boys beat Everton 1st team.
Klopp can do no wrong atm - but the wheel turns ..

Bad defending and keeping there from West Ham.

Good news for us in the relegation fight though.

  4. Didn't realise we could go on equal points with them if we won and they lost. Big IFs of course!

Obviously they have a game in hand. Vs Liverpool!

  5. Watching Sheff U v W Ham. Two utter gash teams. How are Sheffield United doing so well?

Bit like tonight - keep it tight and nick a goal or two.

EDIT: Bet Wilder will love VAR now !

West Ham score a 91st minute equaliser, but then VAR disallows it for handball. :D

Sheff Utd win 1-0 and now we have an opportunity go level with West Ham on points.

Carragher banging on about the handball rule being a joke. Except it was fine when it helped Liverpool out.

    C*nt.

  9. The West Ham new manager bounce was more of a thud.

Amazing that these goals are chalked off yet we get f*cked for probably 5 points because the imbeciles can’t see handballs in the Newcastle and Soton games. Scandalous.

For all the uproar about the handball, it wouldn't have been uncommon to see those given before this season anyway...

I guess no one seems to care about that as it didn't "ruin the enjoyment of the game"

Got all these West Ham fans moaning and pundits complaining but if it had been given you'd have Sheffield United up in arms and the same pundits criticising the officials for missing it!

I don’t like the rule, but it is what it is. Consistency is key. How can some incompetent berk not identify them in our games when he has multiple angles and slow motion?

Declan Rice: “Pretty much no Premier League player wants VAR in the game.”
Neither do we, boy, neither do we. Good on him.

The missed handball at Newcastle got Gracia the sack.
The missed handball as Southampton got QSF the sack.

Those lost points pale into insignificance with the points we have earned under Pearson.

Until they get a decision going their way?

Timing didn't help but I notice all the Sheffield United players were surrounding Oliver presumably hoping he'd rule the goal out.

That's not what they were saying last season. Charlie Austin certainly wanted it.

Did Nordin also think that VAR was an Artificial Super Intelligence that decides on the rules all by itself?

    Glad that West Ham lost.

VAR though can **** off. They go on about this handball rule. Why didn't they check the Saints & Newcastle ones against us?

It's funny this is getting all this press coverage over something VAR got right!!. Yet nothing is said when they missed game changing moments for THREE handball incidents this season with crucial goals going against us costing the team 7 points.

Under the rules, West Ham have nothing to complain about. It was a clear handball, accidental maybe, but clear. This is probably the first time VAR has disallowed a goal for them, so is why they are so upset by it. Until it happens to you, you don't see a problem I guess.

Good result for us though, so on this occasion VAR was brilliant. :D

To add......seeing Moyes running on the pitch in celebration, Snodgrass running over to the Sheff Utd fans cupping his ears, the West Ham fans with their Tevez masks on...…..to see that goal disallowed was a beautiful football moment.

Exactly. It only bothers the team that the decision goes against. No-one can tell me what followed the goal wasn't exciting.

Had it not been on TV the coverage would have been minimal..

It was handball and West Ham know that - it's the rule which is the issue but then if was allowed to stand and there was no VAR it would be Sheff U moaning and the pundits would be questioning how it was missed!

BTW do Arsenal only turn up for one half these days?

Can count Southampton out of any relegation battle.

    Not bad elsewhere.

    Burnley slipping down the table.
