not really found an effective on just yet, been trying a few, but i dont like how you cant manouevre the arrows like you could in the last game. prob just persist with a 4-4-2 with watford

Found it very hard to get a tactic that works well on this version, a lot more depth to the tactics than previous years. Generally just been sticking to the 4-4-2 though, sometimes with the wingers pushed on.
Had the same promlem here. Used to use the 'Diablo' tactic in previosu cersion but this does not work in 09.
I use a 442 diamond the only arrows i move are the wingers with attacking and wing backs too so they attack more. Also depending on who the attacking midfielder is i put an arrow forward as well. With O'toole i do it as i want him in the box from crosses etc but with willo i dont as i want him to be the playmaker. I also play counter attack, playmaker, tight marking.
I developed an awesome tactic on 08. My 4-1-2-1-2 formation dominated with a number of sides by basically battering the opposition into submission. With all players bar the CB's and DM attacking, the opposition could rarely get out of their own half as attack upon attack rained down on them. The AMC role benefited particularly well with Matias Fernandez scoring 50+ 3 years in a row from that position when i was Chelsea. Now i know that sounds easy, but i was taking part in a challenge with a mate of mine with the rule being you could only play people who were U21 when you signed them, which meant selling the entire Chelsea squad minus Kalou and Mikel. Took 7 seasons before i was able to challenge for the title, excluding one season where i came 2nd with 102 points and didn't lose a game until the 34th fixture. But by the time my squad had developed, i was supreme, with my 7th season seeing victory in every competition and a lovely 5 trophy haul.
