everyone seems to have given up, and while, we are almost certainly going down, it seems a bit silly to give up fully yet. If we win on tueday, then we are still just about holding on with the rest, and from time to time we have played some decent stuff, so tehres no reason why we couldnt hav a great second half of the season then i think we could atleast make a push for 17th... i dont have much faith left, but i think its too soon to write us off
well u never know. until its down to the maths... but i will still support and follow the team. the league they are in does not matter to me;D;D
Dave, it's just post match blues. By Tuesday morning we'll all be talking survival again and PYA will be predicting a 4-0 win.
although i see what your saying it is hard not to give up, people say if we win our games in hand... we have won one in 21 so far this year and with the way we've been playing lately it wouldn't surprise me if we don't win another game this wrong, look at the players we have in our startin 11: Marriappa(Just a kid who wasn't playing regular footy in championship), Mackay (like him but he is simply too slow for this league), Stewart (gets some unfair stick but not really near prem class), Smith (Slowest winger in the prem, never tracks back, poor signing), Francis/Bangura (poor and uncommited/too young and inexperienced), Hendo/Hoskins/Priskins (None are natural finishers, none are prem class, hendo is slow for prem, hoskins has been playin in league 1 till 2 weeks ago, priskins is lightweight and not that fast) face it, we haven't got a team capable of doing a great escape, i'd love to be wrong, i will still keep the faith however
we have only won 1 in 21, but that is luck. we deserved to win at LEAST 5 and the games in hand are blackburn and wigan at home, winnable. that would leave us 3 points behind west ham with most of the hard games out the way. conventional wisdom says we wont win, but we all know thats bullpoo
True but the players must be losing confidence and morale as each defeat comes which will not help. Blackburn are a decent side now so expect to lose on Tuesday.
Yes I will...just do not expect much based on current form. It will make me feel less upset when we lose and more delighted should a win occur! ;D
C+P from my thread "It aint over yet!!!" Yesterday, 08:36 PM #1 The Voice of Reason Junior Hornet Angry It aint over yet!!!! Do you lot realise that although we lost yesterday, we are no worse off than before the game as we are still only 10 points adrift of the all important 17th position, which is exactly the same as before the game. Add the fact that we have TWO GAMES in hand on two of our three immediate rivals, and one on the other, then our position does not look so bad. If we can win those games in hand, and I know its a big IF, we are still in with a realistic chance of survival. So don't give up on the boys just yet, and get right behind them on Tuesday night, if we can win our game in hand against Blackburn, I am convinced it will give us the jump start we need to win another 8 or 9, which will mean survival. So as Aidy says.......................... COME ON Just thought I'd add this to your thread, as they are very similar
Watford 5 Blackburn 2 never say "never" just say we are "down". If i felt we had a chance of staying up I would get depressed with each loss.
I have never said we can't go on a run and move up the table, just that I doubt we will. Before every game I have said to myself "if we can get a result here..." but then guess what? We don't! I appreciate the positivity, I really do. Until we start playing like we want to move up the table I don't think we ever will.
