Some of you lot are pathetic. Turning on GT now? Incredible!

    Graham Taylor will resign

When the inevitable happens and Bassini sacks Dyche - after the inevitable two home defeats that are coming up - Graham Taylor will also resign his position as chairman.

    You hear it here first.

    good.

he should fall on his sword. this entire shambles is his fault.

Are you suggesting that GT would support Dyche regardless of the club's continued dire performances?

why? he interviewed the doughnut, appointed the doughnut, then stated the doughnut " was the right man for the job"

People get things wrong! People thought Leicester would walk the division, people thought Hodgson at Liverpool was a good appointment, people thought McLaren at Forest would work. It happens.

Graham Taylor would drop dead of a broken heart if he could see the comments from certain abortions who post on here. ATAF.

I think you'll struggle to find people who thought that I'm afraid.

Hodgson is no longer Liverpool manager. McClaren is no longer Forest manager.

Dyche, however, is still at liberty to destroy Watford's academy at the same time as fielding the most miserable team to watch in history.

  13. TheDon

    TheDon First Team

That is my point, a lot of people thought Hodgson would do well at Liverpool, he didn't. They moved on.
It could have been a good appointment by choosing Dyche, it hasn't worked so far, we just need to react quickly and sort it out.

Graham Taylor IS Watford Football Club.
We would not be where we are if it was not for him (and before winkers on here start spouting "Yeah bottom three - ****e manager blah"). Watford FC were going nowhere before GT came along.
You will never meet a more honourable man, and yes, if he makes mistakes he puts his hands up.
He is under contract with BBC and has commitments but he still has nothing more on his mind than WFC.
I know I am feeding a troll (or two) but please.....

So lets put this another way..If Dyche is sacked after 13 games(unlikely),and GT is appointed manager for the next 33 games and we still go down, would Dyche still be a Doughnut and GT still be god even though he had 3 times as many games to put it right?

    Sigh.

    I'm going on hiatus. Ciao.

Or, to put it another way, if Dyche has 5 more games and GT only gets 28 remaining, but quits after 12, of which one is abandoned and replayed, then how many chucks would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood.

Its a very interesting question to think about, this could be asked on the Chaser show.

Why does anyone ever want to criticise GT - how can anyone EVER have done more for the club.

I agree GT has done this club a great service and that we would not be were we are today without him,

    BUT

That does not make him immune from criticism. GT played a big role in Dyche's appointment and therefore, if it fails with Dyche as it appears to be, he must take some of the blame.

If GT did resign we really would have something to complain about - the fact that he is still with us is a miracle, reading some of the comments on here.
I would trust him implicitly on all matters WFC, look at the past he doesn't get much wrong does he??

Don't just look at this season look at the back end of last season even with DG and Cowie we were struggling for form - fact is we have been short of quality for 3 seasons and it has now caught up with us.
The players that dyche has brought in will come good but most need to get some matches and learn their teamates games.
I still believe we will have a run - it's just that it will happen later this season than last.
Depressing at the moment - and the football isn't great but I would rather have dyche, than change again.

Non of this is to do with blaming anyone, that is ridiculous. It's about putting it right.

You forget that some of our fans will want somebody to blame for the appointment.

Fiver says its 100% Bassini's fault.

Agreed. Success or failure, the praise or criticism lies with Bassini. He's the owner and the man with the money.

I couldn't give a monkeys whose 'fault' it was. I was all for the appointment, some others will have been the same and some would have thought it wrong from the start. All of that is irrelevant though as all that is important is putting the decision right.

It is not Bazza's fault as he appointed Dyche in good faith presumably on the advice of others including GT. When appointing anyone with no experience you are taking a calculated risk which on this occasion has regretably proved unsuccesful. However Bazza will be held responsible if he does nothing to rectify the situation in the near future.

People talk about us needing to stay in the Championship and yes we do. However, until GT came along we were a bottom tier club and the only reason we're where we are is because of GT. Even when we briefly started to slip back to that level he came along and dragged us up again. To suggest he should go can only come from people who have no recollection of what he has done. Read your history books people.

I don't know what has happened to the fans of this club. Maybe its the impatient culture of football these days, maybe its something else but we're lucky that GT still wants to be involved with the club. The man didn't have a crystal ball, he wasn't to know we'd start off badly under Dyche.

As I wrote in another thread and not wishing to repeat much of what Hornet 23 has stated above.
    GT is WFC.
We would still be languishing somewhere in Div 4 or it's equivalent or even lower if it wasn't for this man. People have short memories or choose not to respect what he has done for this, our club.
To state 'that was all in the past' is completely missing the point. If it wasn't for the past, his past, then there wouldn't be this debate about what we should be doing now.
