Best known for being on 8 out of 10 Cats & the Countdown version. Decent and very dry comedy, I only saw him live once, that was a recording of a QI episode in series I. Sean Lock: Comedian and 8 Out of 10 Cats captain dies aged 58 - BBC News
One of the funniest and most original comedians of this era. Terribly sad. Died of cancer. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-58254859
Very dry and funny guy. Was recently in an episode of Diane Morgan’s ‘Mandy’ possibly his last performance? It’s very silly and he’s clearly having a laugh. RIP. https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p08ljl6c
Absolute comedy genius. Saw him live a couple of times, didn't give a f*ck, just genuinely there for a laugh.
Very sad news. One of my favourite comedians. A top bloke too. If you've never seen the series he starred in and co-wrote with Mark Lamarr, 15 Storeys High. it's well worth a look. RIP
It's sadly ironic, I never used to be much of a fan of him, but in only the last few weeks I happened to find myself binge-watching 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown and came to enjoy his contributions. A real shame there won't be any more.
A sad loss. I loved his digs at Piers Morgan: "Daleks are devoid of all emotion except hate. Like Piers Morgan on wheels" And "When you die, where do you want your ashes to go?" "I want them rubbed in Piers Morgan's eyes" Harry Hill was talking on the radio about him, saying he'd called him recently and he told him he was in a hospice. "Oh, what's it like?" asked Harry. "It's OK. But the sex is great" replied Sean. Comedy genius! RIP.
This has just cropped up on YouTube. A real gem, a performance from The Town & Country Club around 1992. I've never seen him this early, but his trademarks are already very apparent. You can see Mark Lamarr in the audience having a puff too.
Nice I’ve been looking for this . Thx so much . This is the one where he has a hearing device that listens to different flats?
