Gets a lot of press considering the population is less than London.

Still Krankie appears to be on her way out. Maybe they'll get someone in that concentrates on running the country.

Yes, because they do things so much better in Westminster and Whitehall. No UK government would ever dream of trying to gain political advantage through a pointless and damaging referendum, for example.

I'm no fan of Westminster either but the Scots deserve better.

Scotland are performing more poorly than England on some very key metrics.

However I doubt Sturgeon is going voluntarily as her Minister states. Hence the hurriedly arranged press conference. I wonder which piece of dirt has been discovered…

Sturgeon, the best leader of a political party in the UK. That’s faint praise, I know, but imagine if she had lead the UK in 2010? Tell me the place would have still descended into the chaos we have now?

  9. Seriously, is your dislike because she's
    a) Scottish
    b) Female
    c) Short ?
because to my mind she has been (metaphorically) head and shoulders above all of our political leaders for the last decade.

    a) No
    b) No
    c) No

I don't know her so don't dislike her as a person, for you to suggest I would based on physical qualities is a bit dissapointing.

I think she has one aim, independence, regardless of the majority opinion (at last count) legal opinion, good for the country. As a party politician she is good, as leader of a country she is bad. Look at Scotland's drugs figures for example.

You always call her Jimmy Krankie, so you can’t really act all aghast about the idea that her physical characteristics are important to your assessment of her.

Actually this may well be good news for Labour and boost their likely majority at the next GE.

Something smells off though as Mike suggests. Last month she had "plenty in the tank" this month politics is brutal etc. etc.

Fair point but I can assure you that trying to add a bit of comedy by utlising a well known meme is a bit different to blatant discrimination based on height sex or nationality. Considering I'm not the tallest and have scottish ancestry it's stetching it a bit.

I call Johnson an albio ape but the fact that I think he looks like ones doesn't colour my judgement that he's also a **** politician, person, leader. That is an asumption based upon his performances as a politician, person & leader.

I judge Sturgeon based upon the fact that desipte the extra rescources and autonomy Scotland has enjoyed under her rule, very little of the power and resource has been used to make the lives of the Scottish population better. My allegation is that she was mainly focussed on idependence at a time when more important matters were neglected.

Good news for Labour’s chances of a decent majority at the next general election.

Always odd to see English Tories who hold strong anti-Sturgeon, anti-SNP opinions. Firmly in their interests to have a strong SNP. Without Scotland, England and Wales would be consigned to an eternity of unbroken Tory government.

This has always been said, but curiously Blair never needed to rely on Scotland for a majority.

He was New Labour, he was promising a third way, and was given a damned good chance to achieve it.
