Rob Edwards Sacked

That’s such a strange photo for the club to have posted. Every single player looks totally disengaged.

 

Have not seen any smiles in any of the pics posted so far. Is it that Edwards is confusing the players. maybe not used to proper coaching or being worked harder than the lovies would like.

All we have seen in previous times have been the seemingly pointlessly doing keepy uppy's or slaloming through the cones

 

As far as I'm concerned I'm taking Edwards over any of these *******. If they don't want to put the work in then they can do one.

 

I think it’s hard to get too much from a photo. True, they could be dis-engaged but equally they could be focused, concentrating and taking everything totally seriously. Who can say?

Not a criticism of anybody on here, but a more general observation about comments made on other social media. I’ve found the past week quite contradictory to the point of being amusing. Along the lines of...

We need a happy, positive manager. But this one is too happy and positive (I even saw Edwards called David Brent somewhere this week)

We need Edwards to have a big say on transfers. Cue outrage at the first player linked with us who he’s previously worked with and most likely recommended to our board.

We need transfers not connected with Bayat. See previous point.

We don’t need players gurning and laughing in videos and photos, such as the now departed Foster. But they all look too serious and bored now.

We must know our pre-season fixtures. But now we do, we don’t like one of them. (That game doesn’t sit comfortably with me either btw).

But seems to me that on social media right now, there’s a fair bit of moaning for moaning sake.

This is a light-hearted tongue-in-cheek observation by the way, and as I say, no way mocking anybody on here. I’ve had a whinge myself this past week. It’s infectious!

 

It's a forum tradition to take training photos out of context and look for deeper meaning in a split second moment captured on camera.

 

Any forum regular knows the only two types of training ground photo that should be subject to intense analysis are:

1. Photo of unknown player which displays training ground furniture.

2. Photo of player signing a 'contract' which turns out to be an email from an agent to our DoF with a list of potential targets.

 

Expect better from you. Completely missed 3: Analysis of any blonde-ish player in the background of pre-season photos, searching for Vydra-like features

 

He also looks much older than 27.

I think he arrives on 1st July.

 

Colombian season only ended a couple of weeks ago (although he wasn't in their last squad on the 17th June) so imagine he's getting a bit of a break first.

 

I'm going off memory here so don't quote me but I'm pretty sure international players are to report back by 27th June. I see WTE has already come back so I'd imagine the rest will be there on Monday. I saw an article that said Asprilla had been told by the club to join up with us on 1st July, probably because Envigado's final game was only last Friday.

That’s not the same as none, and presumably doesn’t encompass replacements for those in the squad who leave.
