Rob Edwards Sacked

The circus goes on. From an "on the pitch" perspective I can't say I'm disappointed with Edwards going, I think he was out of his depth and I couldn't see any foundations of a style forming. That said it's been 11 games with speculation on some of our "big guns" leaving until a month ago. Time will tell. Good luck to Rob, came across as a good, honest character.

An absolute disgrace. It was a brave appointment, but imo a step in the right direction. And although he hasn't made the greatest start, the whole point was that he was a project appointment!

 

11 whole games! lol etc.

 

I thought it a poor appointment, but was willing to see where we were at the World Cup break. The worrying thing is the very poor decision making when selecting key personnel. i will give them a pass on player recruitment, because I think that is a symptom of the recruitment of key operating officers. Overall recruitment up to the FA Cup final season had seen a positive return in terms of league position.

So bored of Pozzo. Clearly doesn't have the nous of his father. I'd boycott games but I haven't been to one for 10 years. Just the sort of fan he deserves.

As has been said RE was a risky appointment. Although he has been hampered by a lack of a rwb he has insisted for the most part in playing 3 at the back and banging square pegs into round holes. His subs have also been too late or odd. Maybe clapping the fans after matches was just not enough. We still have time to make an impression at the top end of the table. Feel sorry for RE as seems a decent bloke and hate this makes us look a joke. Wrong to appoint,right to fire.

 

The same problems will continue to exist for as long as these clowns are running OUR club. They have turned us into a joke, throughout the majority of their "leadership" I have felt embarrassed to support Watford and this is an all time low. How can Edwards fix all of their problems in 9 games? Feels like I'm trapped in a reoccurring nightmare.

I think any lingering attachment I felt I had to the club has gone. This isn’t the club I have loved supporting since my first game in ‘94.

This is a farce.

Until Gino, Scott and Co. are out of this club i don’t care anymore.

 

Absolutely ludicrous decision. I bet those calling for REs head will be pleased, oh wait they're not because they are having a pop at Pozzo for sacking him... le sigh.

RE inherited a squad in wholesale transition with many departing and many new faces, he should have been given the whole season to try and turn around our fortunes but as usual Pozzo has pulled the trigger. No lessons learned here.

 

The mistake isnt sacking Edwards, the mistake was appointing him. Even in the context of all the insane Pozzo decision making, appointing RE as manager was surely the most doolally, barking mad, clucking, batshit crazy, mad as a hatter, howling at the moon, next level insanity. It was in a word: unfathomable. Whoever came up with this crackpot ruse should be run out of the club.

 

Regardless of what may or may not be going on off the pitch, he looked out of his depth with no signs of a cohesive tactical plan and no signs of things coming together.

Right decision for me.

 

So, many of us called it in the summer. Once we signed Bayo, we could see the way the chips were falling.

They appointed Rob as part of a 'new start' then continued to do exactly the same dodgy **** that has seen the club decline year on year since the cup final.

Then they sack him.

Time for a protest next home game. Who's in?

 

Everyone knows my opinions on Duxbury. Can’t stand the bloke.

But even I can see he’s been hung out to dry by Gino on this one.
