When musical deities such as Sir Brian May, Jagger, Clapton, Page and many others take to social media,which they rarely do,to send eulogies you know the recipient was special.

 

One of the only guitarists able to stand comparison with Peter Green.

 

Probably all a matter of taste when you get to that level. Peter Green was actually my favourite, with a mention in dispatches for Rory Gallagher too.

 

Liked for the subtle pun linking Rory Gallagher with 'taste'.

 

His style was more brute force and ignorance.
