Southampton's move for Marek Saganowski has left the door open for Watford boss Aidy Boothroyd to sign Tomasz Radzinski.
Saints boss George Burley was in the market for Radzinski, who was released by Premiership outfit Fulham at the end of last season.
But he is now focused on completing a deal for number one target Saganowski in a £700,000 deal from French outfit Troyes.
Vicarage Road boss Boothroyd wants some more firepower as the Hornets look to make an automatic return to the Premiership and Radzinski has top-flight experience.
The 33-year-old former Everton striker was let go from Craven Cottage following the appointment of Lawrie Sanchez as manager but is keen to stay in England.

i think he's be an asset to the team,he'd be a decent centre forward in the fizzy pop league and he's got alot of experience.

Sign him up. That will leave us with a bunch of bloody good Championship strikers. We can worry about Premiership strikers when we get promoted.
