it doesn’t matter if you are paid huge sums or minimal wage. Doesn’t matter if you work in Tesco or play for Barcelona. You will never get the best out of your workers if you create a toxic and unhappy atmosphere in your workplace buck stops with Gino
So Imran is not the Messiah... We need to look at pairings... Louza and Koné....Adeyemo and Arauje...? Sent from my DN2103 using Tapatalk
Hard to say really probably a combination of all of them. The biggest problem is we don't have a clue how to score a goal. We put plenty of pressure on QPR in the second half after a dismal first half but I don't really remember a good chance being created and I never really felt like we would score.
The most entertaining part of the Loftus Road experience was the scream exchanged between a couple of more mature fans. How on Earth we contrive to give them 7 points this season and Burnley only one is beyond parody. Kone must look at Louza and wonder what he has done not to get in the first 11, the back three looked orecdisjointed than any group of defenders we have had the joy to watch. The only thing Cathcart and Hoedt managed to co ordination as to walk together to applaud the away fans. Just joyless football from a disjointed group simply plodding through the season.
Without giving any compliment or credit whatsoever to the second half, I would fairly confidently say that the first was the worst half of football we have been offered this season, and honestly even in several seasons, including last year on the way to relegation. It was genuinely disgusting to behold. It was very unclear what Wilder had instructed them to do, or whether there was any plan at all. We purely 'got rid' every single time we got the ball, but seemingly not with any destination in mind. Davis had his worst game for us, I'd say, and that's quite the competition to win. Every single player was incompetent and lethargic, including JP. Sarr smashed the ball out for a throw-in, not a goal kick, when attempting (theoretically) a cross, three separate times.
Hope you’re all happy, this is what you wanted after you bitched and moaned for Edwards to be replaced after ten games.
Just seen a young Watford fan got knocked unconscious at Willesden Junction by an older QPR fan. Went down hard and cracked his head on the platform - was in recovery position being looked after when I left but didn’t look good, hope he’s ok
Thanks are due to the two simpletons in the Watford end that livened up an otherwise dreadful afternoon by attempting to knock each others teeth out in the first half. Great effort lads!
The hilarious thing is after all the bleeting that we just need our best players back, we’re actually worse with them. Lowlight of the match was probably Davies somehow managing to head a ball behind himself from a few yards out, I mean it’s one of about 1000 issues he has has to be even worse than Andre, an utterly hateful striker.
1st half atrocious , the worst I have seen all season , don’t know if the players were confused by the new manager , but nobody could pass to any other Watford player, every time we had the ball they nicked it off us, we genuinely looked like we had never played together. 2nd half better but way too late for anybody to care and the standard problem we can’t actually score for **** , we run up the side of the pitch get to the penalty area and do nothing with it.
the last time I saw anybody with that little confidence was me at the driving range this morning after toping the first 20 balls
It's hard to judge Edwards, Bilic or Wilder when they have to work with: - Pozzo - Giaretta interfering - Pozzo's coaching staff - The medical team - Bayat signings - Mentally weak players - Mute captains on the pitch - A squad knowing that the management are transitory
You can also add to the list that half the squad are off at the end of the season regardless of which league we're in (and alot arnt our players anyway) so theres little initial motivational or emotional investment to begin with
The difference with Edwards was that the players we had left when the season started appeared to buy into what he was trying to do, both on and off the pitch. Once that rug got pulled it was business as usual
Not totally sure about the amount, but i've heard our debt is about £130 million. We've more of less spent the parachute payment already, Unless we sell Sarr/Pedro/Louza for higher amounts than we know they are worth, we will be scrounging around the bargin bins again in the Summer. But maybe that isn't a bad thing, anyone we get is better than what we have right now.
Players always 'appear to buy into' the coaches' ideas. I couldn't understand Edwards and his assistant, so how would Pedro, Asprilla, Gaspar, etc. with minimal English? The club have directed zero attention to selecting players robust enough for the championship nor provided those they have selected with the necessary support in terms of acclimatisaion. Our debts are between £144m and £194m depending on which of our debts have actually been paid off. Have we taken yet another loan off that Macquarie Bank this season? No one seems to know. Administration is a worth a bet if we are in debt to the tune of over £200m. Probably still worth a bet even if our debts stand at £144m. I don't think there is any way forward for Gino Pozzo at Watford FC unless his Father becomes hands on at the club. The For Sale sign is being painted and new investors are being sought. Gino Pozzo, your time is up.
Yeah they did, especially the younger players. They certainly couldnt have been accused of a lack of effort, thats just revisionist on your part.
First half was atrocious, second half marginally better for a brief period where we had some patterns of play. Doesn’t help Davis is a useless lump and Louza did not turn up at all. The only lady solution left now Sarr is injured is 3-4-1-2 and hope it ends up by some miracle being the answer to getting the best out of everyone.
Calling it now, Sarr getting injured is the Deeney Getting Injured key moment that changes our fortunes as we march to promotion. Ahem.
