So if my maths is correct, if Leicester beat Newcastle tomorrow night they move up to 17th and dump Everton in the relegation zone.
Then, on the final day, if Leicester beat Spam as well, they would have 36pts, and send both Everton and Leeds down regardless of their results?

    Got a a whiff of a 0-0 here.

    Newcastle just need a point.

    Leicester playing for one.

Might have been different had Newcastle been sent down to 10 men early which 95% of people would expect but not the people that matter.

Still no shots on goal and 17% possession for Leicester - surely they can't hold out with that defence of theirs?

    Leicester are utterly pathetic.

Are they going to do to Newcastle what we did at Old Trafford? Steal a point we had no right in taking?

Obviously thinking get a point then beat a weak West Ham side on Saturday.

And then hope for the best elsewhere.

What was Vardy complaining about? He's been crap like the rest of the forwards so far. I would of hooked him too. Make a change and win a corner instantly.

Nick Pope may as well sit in the canteen. I've never seen a goal keeper have such an easy job so far. :p

This has the feeling of Leicester holding till the last minute and a dodgy penalty gets awarded or something.

Not really had much of the ball tbf.
Well might be if they win Sunday and Everton /Leeds both fail to get 3 points but that seems unlikely.

They do have the better GD.

I am sure they do, but it's better to draw and get a point from a really tough away fixture than to lose. It gives them a tiny bit of hope final day, but both Leeds and Leicester know that if Everton win, they are both down regardless (bar goal difference). If they push up to much Newcastle are going to score. But they should have had at least three by now. Dreadful finishing combined with last ditch defending.

It could be, there's certainly a chance Everton won't beat Bournemouth at home. The problem is if Leicester play to win it's likely they'll get destroyed with the form Newcastle are in.

Leeds are below Leicester in the table and Leicester have to win, doesn't matter what Leeds do.

Think that is Leeds down .

Leicester need to win and hope Everton don’t beat Bournemouth.

All three teams at home, all three playing teams with nothing to play for. Hopefully it will be vaguely interesting.

Well Spurs still have a European place to play for, unless they view the Europa Conference League as "nothing" despite West Ham's potential success in that competition.

Liverpool asking a few questions of the officials after Saturday.

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/65677560

Wonder if they asked why Jota wasn’t sent off the other week v Spurs before scoring the winner ?

Will be even more frustrating for them now after Newcastle dropped points tonight .

In a must win game we didn’t register a shot on target until stoppage time. That’s Leicester. That’s why we’re getting relegated.

It’s mad to think that post Deeney goal, something happened to the players who stayed at the club meant that they could pull something out of nowhere in games. Got us promoted. Kept us up. Won is the league. Took us deep in the CL. Won us the FA Cup. It should still be lingering in the psyche of the club but sadly it’s gone. Too many fat contracts, an out of his depth chairman and a poisonous fraud called Brenda or something.

Like Malcolm Tucker said; “From bean to cup, you **** up”

I would still love your guys to stay up and take dirty Leeds down with Everton. Their fans' are insufferable when they win. Just listening to the podcasts over the summer with them crying will fill my Summer void. I would look at tonight as a decent point in a tough game, yes you were dominated from the off and hardly laid a glove on them, but this isn't the Newcastle of seasons' past. It's a side built on "clean" finances and banked rolled with a lego head as manager who I still cannot stand. Everton win, it's over for you both, but Bournemouth might put in a blinder and Everton could well lose. As long as you don't let West Ham sweep you under the carpet like Leeds did yesterday, you still have a chance, small, but it's there.

Oh if you want to talk Newcastle… I ******* hate them. They’re the epitome of everything that is wrong with football and that is before you get into the fact that they’re owned by the Saudi state. Awful, cheating, anti football bunch of nobodies. I made a promise never to watch them play ever again this season. I caved tonight so I lose woke points I guess, still haven’t watched a Man City game in a few years though.

I know that the footballing world would love to see Everton go down but it simply won’t happen. It relies on us getting a result and that won’t happen. We’ve won one in the last 15 league games. It’s over.

So none of the promoted teams from last season are going to be relegated this season.

How strong do people think the 3 relegated teams will be next season?

Are they full of prima donnas that will flounce off? Or will they be able to retain the core of their team and pstl?

It's always interesting to see what happens when "a big club" gets relegated. Do the bounce back or do they "do a Sunderland"?

At the moment only Southampton are confirmed down and they are pretty well off. No doubt they will sell jewels like JWP and the rest, but I think they will def. be up there from the off. A strong following and they have put a lot of faith in youth since they were condemed to relegation a few months back nearly. Sure, not good enough for the PL but they can more than hold their own in this tinpot division.

If a miracle happens and Everton do drop, I think they might shock a few people next season. They are going to be in a financial mess (unless this rumored buy out happens) and many of their "stars" will not want to play lower level football. They also have quite a small squad and I think they will find the overall transition tough to get used to. Leeds and Leicester will be about on even pegging. Both are going to slow starters as a lot of clearing out will be done over the Summer. Leeds will no doubt have a new head coach as Fat Sam won't stick around. Leicester have a fantastic stadium and really good support, if they can keep hold of their PL average stars, they should easily mount a push for the playoffs. So, my two cents is Southampton would be the strongest of the sides, with Everton struggling.

Interesting article in the Evening Standard about Levy looking to copy Brighton and Brentford's data-driven model at Spurs

Tottenham see long-term appeal in Brentford and Brighton strategy | Evening Standard

I don't agree about Brentford needing "snookers" to qualify for Europe though; there's definitely a good chance given Man City may be tired after a tough game at Brighton and will mostly have their eyes on achieving the other two thirds of the treble, and Villa and Spurs both have tough games. What a season it would be for Brentford, doing the double over Man City to get into Europe, while capping a miserable season for us (especially if Luton get promoted) - Brighton and Brentford both in Europe, clubs that seem to be doing everything right that we're doing wrong after the Pozzo model seemed to be the envy of many a club here and abroad.

EDIT: And right on cue, Brighton have just equalised having had the better of the play...

Brighton absolutely terrific in that first half. How on earth did they lose 5-1 at home to Everton?

Why were Man City going nuts about the Haaland disallowed goal for clear foul? Is the point that penalties are never given for that the other way round? (which is probably a fair point)
