Just a shame Luther isn’t involved.

 

Great that Cleverly got performance of the season because he was IMMENSE in that Norwich game , pressing from the front , and didn’t get nearly enough praise for it .

The way Xisco set us up for that game and in the way the players executed his game plan , gave me belief in his tactical ability.

 

Was he the chap who use to be the match day announcer many years ago!

 

Agree that Emma Saunders is extremely professional and good enough to front any football show.

Certainly better than almost any ITV presenter over the years.

Also to follow up my Kabasele moment she too liked one of my tweets this evening.

I can now retire happily from the internet with my social media career complete.

 

Thoroughly enjoyed that.

Felt like a family club again.

Glad to hear SD talk openly. It was nice to hear him acknowledge the mistakes made, and I do believe they have learnt from them.

Actually got me excited about the transfer window. Really do believe we will sign the right players.

Feel good factor is back. The players want to be there, Xisco has done an immense jobs in turning that negative energy around.

I feel as though my Watford is finally back.

 

Atmosphere has completely changed.

I was thinking we actually have a good number of likeable players that it's easy to get behind.

Clevs gives 100% and is a thoroughly decent guy.

Chabs wants the club to succeed, see his chants after greeting the fans after Millwall.

WTE is very professional and eloquent and clearly a leader.

Kiko, Sarr, Hughes and Masina have been quietly giving their all in a lower division than they signed up for with no fuss.

Zinc and Gosling both seem like good chaps in their interviews.

Hard not to warm to King Ken with that smile, and Pedro with his will to win.

Sierralta has the man bun of a defensive hero.

I didn't even mention our famous goalie... Bachmann is another who's very likeable and easy to warm to.

Let's do our best to push them on next season from the stands. COYH.

 

You're spot on. Being likeable in interviews doesn't count for anything. Let's hope our owners haven't fallen into the same trap as the people on this forum.

Id rather have a team full of hateful shyts and stay up, than a team full of players with nice smiles and eloquent speech patterns and lose every week.

And lose every week is what we will do if we stick with WTE, sema, cleverley and the rest of the dung players.

We'll end up hating the players in either scenario, so may as well hate them but stay up than hate them and go down.

It’s a fair point if you ask me. Many football fans are fickle and view things like the weather, in other words if it’s Sunny they find it hard to imagine it being anything else and visa versa. Last season players like Kiko and Masina were terrible, now after playing at a lower level suddenly they’re good enough.

The mood will inevitably change next season at some point so it’s just as well everyone enjoys this moment.

 

You never moaned how much you hated the players last season then?

Being likeable doesn't make players better, just makes it easier to support them in good seasons and bad.

I don't think there was one between the two you mentioned, just that I wondered who he was as didn't know his name!

 

I still think Kiko was unlucky not to win an award for the season he has had, maybe he should have got either Players player or POTS rather than giving both to Sarr.

 

Agreed. But no-one voting in each knew how the other would turn out.

For some reason they wouldn't let me vote in the Players' player this year. I blame Covid.
