The first step - now will Pozzo turn up?

So what date does this get cancelled? I’m going with dinner time on the 13th.

Still not sure why you expect me to get behind it? I have no interest in what the harmful Pozzo says. I just want him gone and will not attend a game until that happens. I’ve no interest in whatever sound bites he might come up with. (If he turns up of course.)

I do admit I have a morbid curiosity to see how Pozzo and Duxbury set about manipulating the audience though.

I was cynical about it, but mainly what will come of out of Pozzo and Duxbury's mouths. I still am and think it will be a platitude-fest, but the fact remains that fans are actually getting to question them in person.

They successfully navigated all the hurdles the club put out for them, most of which seemed deliberate attempts to make it not happen. Well done to them for cornering the slippery pair.

 

100% agree.

 

It’s never really been about the event itself. We can debate all day the merits of various formats, venues, dates etc. but when it really comes down to its 100% about the answers given. And if they’re a load of waffle the whole thing’s for nought in my view.

If we get full disclosure and honest, credible answers and Gino making unambiguous commitments on the record I’ll doff my cap to the organisers. It remains to be seen though if those who have organised it or have ‘tried to change the mindset’ on this thread will do anything at all if the answers given to the questions are utter baloney.

 

Is this not getting a bit carried away? Shall we not forget this is something the club are obligated to do?

I give credit to the people who have spent weeks organising this because Pozzo and Duxbury are too lazy/arrogant to engage. Fair play to them for getting an audience for those fans that it will make a difference to.

I don't know what you mean by giving credit to people who have tried the change the mindset? You make it sound like its the fans fault for being negative. Those that are negative are so because of the actions of Pozzo/Duxbury over the years and them reluctantly bothering to turn up at a forum and give some platitudes changes nothing for me. I despise them and what they have done to my club. I have no more time for what they may say than a weasel politician.

 

With the current injury situation, he’ll be called up to open the bowling!

If you really want Gino gone as do so many others - this is a chance to at least let him know and I genuinely wanted to keep this thread alive along with others to keep pushing this.

Not sure it would be productive for the meeting for me to pop up and tell Pozzo to sell up! Think this is more for those in the “Pozzo change” camp.

As to your wider point I do hope they ask Pozzo probing questions with a critical mindset and don’t just nod along as soon as Duxbury comes up with some platitude guff. I can already see WD18 running an enthusiastic “new start, let’s get behind the regime in this adversity!” campaign in my mind’s eye, based off the slimmest of pickings from Pozzo/Duxbury.
