West Ham interested according to the papers and they are suggesting 15m, at that price I reckon he would be a great buy.. Although West Ham with the new stadium will be a possibly more attractive proposition. He seems to not have yet fulfilled the potential he has, whenever iv watched him he looks hardworking and a good team player.
A player I really like, I first saw him when the England U21's played at the Vic and he was the stand out player in that game.
I don't know what it is exactly about him but he always seems to react to situations on the field rather than pre-empt them, (if that makes sense). I think he has a huge lack of concentration that his speed and ability gets him out of, hence why he never gets 90 minutes.
He is young gifted, never finishes a game and has not established himself in the Arsenal team. i think we should definitely go for him as we can resurrect his career, like we have Capoue.
That turned out well did n't it! I must confess i would not even consider him - massive wages - does not score enough goals, rarely finishes a game for Arsenal. I would think we could find better value elsewhere.
Simples. We should definitely go for him but for the reasons given, not even consider signing him. He would be a fantastic gifted addition to the squad but far too expensive and there are much better options available. A very well balanced assessment.
He's too big a name for a poorly run club to not come in and offer 80k+ for him. I'd give him a chance, but not at the wage levels that others will be willing to offer him.
Arsenal will listen to offers this summer for England midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, 22, as it is thought he has not made enough progress during his five seasons at the Emirates. (London Evening Standard)
And a week ago The Mirror were saying we would listen to offers of £12M for Iggy. There might be some truth in the Standard story but I doubt it to be honest. More made up nonsense to fill space.
That's still not resurrecting his career though. If he isn't good enough for Arsenal then he's not good enough but at the moment he's probably playing in some of the biggest games of his career (cup finals, Champions League etc).
Someone like this could be a player we could be after. He's certainly someone that would be in the bracket of next level up. Location wise, obviously we would be a perfect fit and we are in the Premier League, so there's two big plus points going for us. He would cost a lot of money though, the entire package I mean, and he has an is injury prone history. However we would clearly not be the only club after him. Any of the big boys could be in for him, Southampton, West Ham could also seem to be more attractive clubs to him. Personally, I think he would be the ideal fit for a club like West Ham. With the new stadium, he would be considered a top signing that they would likely go for. I would be very impressed if this is the type of player we would be seriously looking to sign, although I very much doubt we would actually get him.
At the moment he is 8 weeks injured, with match fitness he is probably not going to be playing much before the end of the season. Will spend the next few weeks booking his summer holidays and talking to his agent while weighing up house prices in Stoke
