Is anyone here a regular on any other forums? - by this I don't mean other WFC forums, but groups on totally unrelated topics? Where else is at this level of interest and sophistication? Will I regret asking - given the usual stuff people get up to on the net?!!
Oh yeah, every once in a while I decide I'm going to do a home theater, then I go here to research, get overwhelmed and then forget about it for a few more months...
The downside of that place is every time I go there I end up spending large quantities of my hard earned.
Neighbours? As in the soap? Amazing! Who are the equivalents of our most regular posters? Is there an Arthur Daley who goes under the name 'bouncer'? Shouldn't that be 'Naybaz' for the yoof?
Not sure, why don't you sign up tell me what your username is and give it a go. To be fair the geeks over there (myself included) are very helpful. I would not consider buying any home electronics kit without checking it out over there now. Bought my AMP DVD player, Freeview box all off the back of reccomendations from owners.
Used to post on the EA Sports - Madden forum, but only do now and again. Would like to post on the Tennesse Titans website but they don't allow you to register using hotmail.
Funny that...banning is a very unusual result in most boards, which is why I'm quite surprised it happened here to the late Arthur Daley. (Statement of my perception, not a criticism of the moderation. I don't know the content of their dialogue...will reserve judgement...) This is a very civil board, and I rarely see people showing blunt disrespect to one another as you do in most forums. Bottom line is I have only seen two people banned from a forum, both football related: One is AD for the mod's reasons known in detail mostly to them. The other was a skinhead named IronFist who could not be persuaded not to yell during games "funny" things about raping the 9 year old daughters of fans in the stands around us or threatening fellow fans for pointing out that what he'd said or done was not responsible behavior, or threatening to knife people that didn't like the songs he liked. At first everyone thought he was just having a laugh, and sometimes it was funny in an irreverent way, but it was a damn consistent show and he never came out of character for it...so despite warnings, he got banned when he didn't change his behavior. It all played out in the public arena, and everyone knew who what where when how and why. Anyway, it's a significant difference in my book between the two scenarios. Interesting question...
