    I do believe, that if we beat Plymouth and the right 3 teams also go through (Champions league qualifiers) to the semi finals, We could automatically qualify for a European cup place. Am I right or what:]]

    ^Fair point.

    I believe Chelsea vs Aston Villa in 2000 was the last FA Cup final where both teams finished below the European places, since then at least one of the teams has been the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal, Man U etc - all a bit predictable really...

    If both of the finalists have already qualified for europe then the uefa cup spot gets given to the 1st non-european place in the prem.

    I thought I remembered Newcastle qualifying a few years back because Arsenal, Man U and Liverpool (I think) were already in Champions league places.

    No if both finalists are in Europe it goes to the next place in the league without a European spot.
