Could it actually be any worse? The graphics and design haven't been updated at all for the new season, the wallpapers in the download section are still old ones from last term (despite the thumbnails showing new ones), the news and updates are usually terrible, and we don't even have an official M/B anymore (not that i'm complaining now we've got this place ). Oh, and on a last note... PTV's overall service is beyond pathetic
Unfortunately a lot of that is down to the steaming pile of crap that is PTV. However, WFC did ask a couple of weeks ago for suggestions on how to make it better. There are a few clubs about who are on the PTV platform yet have really good websites. To be honest it's always struck me that on all things technical WFC are a little behind. Hopefully they're starting to redress that balance now.
be typical if they spend it on the website. if they are i can offer my services at premiership full back rates.
Well this is how it used to be like for all you nostalgia buffs before like most other official football sites it fell into the dreaded clutches of PTV... www.waswatfordfc.co.uk
That is so much easier on the eye and has better navigation than the PTV site. Also the ticket page is much better. The news articles were the same old tosh though.
yep could do with a revamp, but until we stop paying PTV and use someone who can design more than 1 site with different ideas then its gonna be the same ***** look with yellow, black and red.. The updates are slow...suppose that's because we're watford not Aardvark..alphebetical order as ptv works down its list...so look for updates around 4pm or 2.30 on Fridays ;-)
If I lived locally to the club I could do a much better job and be happy with 15k a year for it. No other fees! It's sucked for a long time, mainly due to the PTV generic site crud that exists. It's awful but at least they seem to be making more of an effort to include players etc... What annoys me is having to trawl through other sites for news on my club. Even a rumours section would be good, like hornets in the press but include rumours and disprove them where needed. Oh well it won't change.
what about the awful spelling and grammer mistakes, not to mention they dont bother prove reading the website e.g in this years fa cup post when they said birmingham was in a all premership clash
cheers for that, that takes me back to my university life when i had no access at home and would go into uni just to find out about our latest injury in the premiership and hoping nordin wooter was in the team for the weekend game.
Wouldn't it be the club press office who submit all the articles containing said mistakes though? I would imagine PTV just post what the WFC press team send them onto the website.

PTV provide the framework, the designs, the server hosting capacity and the technical expertise (snigger). WFC fill their own stuff in. Is he in the team for tomorrow?
