Norwich's biggest problem is clearly at the back we have the players to hurt them I just pray that QSF allows us to go for this a bit more.
Unfortunately we don't seem to have the players to hurt anyone. Will be another 30% possession and park the bus exercise....
As long as it is the Capoue that runs forward and joins the attack, not the one we have seen recently that stands in the centre circle playing to me to you with the centre backs. We know he can play the progressive role and that is what we need.
I think Capoue was an absolute colossus last season playing in the holding role. He's good enough to do the job of two midfielders, with him sitting in front of the defence Quique should be able to play Doucoure and Pereyra/Hughes in front of him and allow them to get forward.
If Quique insist the players stay incessantly deep all game again, and our only goal hope is that Del picks up the ball 40 yards out and goes on a wonder-run, then frankly I want him gone ASAP. If he doesn't trust the players to attack a bit against Norwich, he never will. I'm not holding my breath.
Have you seen Andre' Gray with a great chance? The allotment keeper has a few footballs from our games in his shed. Unless QSF somehow gets Success playing like Vardy, not a chance.
Interestingly enough going into this festive period, the wins and draws icons at the bottom of the table kinda looks like a christmas tree.
Finally Quique's recent tactics make sense. Hopefully now he's finished orchestrating this symbol of festive goodwill we can get back to playing some proper football
Our only chance is that none of their defenders are fit still and we get lucky. Horrible feeling that they will run rings around us.
We don’t beat Norwich, Flores will have to go. We don’t beat Norwich, we’re basically relegated - so Flores’s departure means too little too late We beat Norwich and Flores will stay a little longer and we’ll have to endure the most anti-football performances since... Flores. Flores Flores Flores... Lose Lose Lose
Appreciate the kind words and positive thinking but you haven't seen our bunch of lily-livered cowards playing recently. Or the way that Chief Coward Quique sets us up. Perfect game for Norwich to get back on track.
Desperately needed. Doucouré is playing so deep but he can't curb his inclination to get forward. But he has to make up so much ground and then as he's driving forward with the ball, he usually only has one option on. I think he's actually turned to form recently but is stuffed by the system and position he's being asked to play. No idea why an acute accented "e" is censored on this site. Will put it down to Brexit.
Saw a video yesterday of TD training with the U23's. So expect to see him at some point on Friday. I think we will play much better with the skipper back & the old school aggression he will inject onto the field & into the squad. There are some who criticise him given any opportunity, sometimes rightly so, but he is the best captain we've had in years.
I bet Norwich's forums are replicating ours a bit, hoping Pukki finds his scoring boots again and their defence doesn't ship the usual. Bet they will be lamenting a possible Watford win, if they can't beat us... etc. Keeping them quiet for the first half an hour will see their nerves kick in more than ours Lets go! Bring it on we didn't rock up at the prem and want easy street With either Troy or Success up front GD will be free to do his stuff, a compact, solid 2-0 win. Or Norwich get their tails up under lights which they can easily do and we lose 5-0 I'm going for the former COYH!
What are the odds on Troy seeing red in his comeback game whenever that is- it must ( should) really hurt him as much as it does us to see the club in this position and I fear he might overreact- if he can see red in the first game after the epic semi final win then how will he be after weeks of pent up frustration and annoyance
Will be sent off 7 minutes into his comeback game. Another 3 games out. EDIT - just seen your post WH48.....
Capoue and Sarr potentially back too I believe. Whether any of them play a part remains to be seen, perhaps Capoue is most likely. I do think Deeney is required ASAP but over the last few seasons he's always taken a few games to get back up to speed after an injury...
Exactly. You could say that proves the point in of itself? Only when TD leaves the club will we lose his captaincy, which is not the healthiest position to be in, but who else is there anyway?
This is such an important game. It really will decide if we have a chance to get ourselves involved in a relegation battle. This is a must WIN game. No draw is acceptable. In fact we may as well risk losing the game if it gives us a better chance of winning it. That does not mean we go all out attack - which is not really possible with the personel available but we have to have the attitude to go there and aim to WIN the game. This is the most winnable and most important match of the season. Norwich have so far proven to be the worst of the promoted teams, they are in a bad run of form and conceded 5 goals at home to Aston Villa recently so playing the way we did at home to Sheffield United and Bournemouth is unacceptable for this match. If we do not win this match then the season is essentially over. I am sure the manger, players and some fans will still believe if we escape with a 0-0 draw that things are moving in the right direction but with the position we are in it is a must win game. If we win this then the mental block of winning a game is out of the way and we might even win another game in the next few fixtures. The only way we are going to score with the way we have been playing is if Norwich score for us or give away a penalty. Please Flores go for the win.
I wasn't sure about QSF coming in but for those who incredibly want us to lose so he gets sacked, who do you want instead? I think he's been dealt a poor hand with lack of fitness, injuries and defence more porous than a colander. It's awful to watch but we had to stop conceding goals at the rate we were which he has done but now everybody wants us to be more attacking! As per usual there seems very little update on the injuries but could really do with a few back. Sadly I think we should start Success if Deeney is not ready. God it's depressing 3-0 to us
First goal is important in most prem games. This one is a must to score first. Score first and we get away with at least a point. They score first were ****ed Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
