I said 4-0 to Swansea and l was right. You do have a bee in your bonnet. The thing is , you haven't disproved very much. This thread just my opinion. If you are upset by it, then that is for you to deal with.
Nothing you say upsets me or puts a been on my bonnet. I don’t need to ‘disprove’ what you say. I sit tight and let time itself do that…it happens pretty quickly. What you say makes me and the vast majority on this forum laugh though.
Mrs Willis and I are in Norwich tonight. Smooth trip up this afternoon and we’ve just had a nice meal with good wine and an Old Fashioned. We’ll mooch round the city centre after breakfast tomorrow and then no doubt ruin the whole trip by going to Carrow Road after lunch. Why do we do this?!
With the squad we have available it is highly unlikely we will get a result in our favour so if they get a point or more it will be a minor miracle. I think back to the atmosphere and support that the crowd gave at home v Luton earlier this season and I wish that all supporters were that encouraging at all times as I believe that would help the team particularly when we are in such a dire situation currently. I truly hate the negativity all over social media but I can understand it. Trouble is that it will just drag us further down and I'm way to depressed already!
Ye Yes, because the round of games is split between today and tomorrow so for fairness the league won't allow new signings to play tomorrow.
It’s sad because The Championship is meant to be more fun than the Prem due to more regular games and more winnable games. Turns out when you lose every week at this level it’s even more miserable than losing in the Prem.
We've got more points this season than last so whilst i get it, it's not exactly the whole picture. The quality on TV during the world cup then back to this is night and day. It's only fun when we play well and win convincingly or against ********* opponents. Which is rare, half our games could have been lost 4-0 with a bit of bad luck instead of the Pedro shows class story that's got us through this far.
Nobody is expecting us to go to Norwich and win with the catastrophic injury list, but even a battling defeat would at least show that they have something about them. The last two pathetic performances have been completely unacceptable, as professionals they should be embarrassed. They won't be, but they should.
Worrying how today could be planned out. They play like crap for 90mins, Bilic get the boot, then there is a two week break from Champo action due to the FA Cup game (which we will probably win). I do not believe they are playing this badly for no reason. Player power has obviously come full force once more, Bilic has had his time so it's on to the next joker. It's the perfect mindset of this bunch of shirkers.
Wouldn't be surprised, it becomes very clear when the players have given up on a head coach. Obviously Gino is too thick to see the trend so instead of kicking out the cowardly footballers he'll carry on replacing head coaches.
Obviously knowing Watford, this next statement could come back to haunt me in the next 24hrs. But I really don’t think Bilic is close to being sacked if we lose. If we get trounced maybe, but I suspect he has time on his side.
I agree. I don't think Bilic is under any pressure right now. Before the injuries we were making a good fist of it. Not perfect, but we were putting a decent run together. We've come off the rails purely because of the injuries and deficiencies in midfield. Attitude is poor amongst the players who took the field at Swansea and Millwall and this is something that could be attributed to Bilic, however, the team picks itself right now, so he can't really motivate players by threatening to drop the underperforming ones. I think he did make a big tactical error in taking off Cathcart at Swansea though. He chose the wrong defender. WTE was having a mare and he was the player that should have been taken off. After Cathcart was subbed the wheels really came off. I'm hoping that will be a lesson for Bilic in that he now knows he cannot rely on Kabs or WTE. Today I'd like to see a central pairing of Sierralta and Cathcart. We may get turned with Pukki running in behind, but the other two are such a liability that any flaws in a Cathcart/Sierralta pairing far outweighs any other combo.
Saw it suggested elsewhere Cathcart went off with an injury - which wouldn’t be the most surprising thing !
I think if the past decade has taught us anything it’s that Gino isn’t shy to sack a manager under the most absurd circumstances, plenty of Managers have got the sack under less surprising circumstances than Bilic. The only thing I see keeping Bilic in a job right now is Gino’s pride, if it’s correct Edwards was Duxbury’s man and Gino undermined him to bring Bilic in then I think that’s the only thing saving him currently.
The only acceptable back four today is Cathcart, WTE, Sierralta, Morris. I'm sorry that's the best I can come up with, it's beyond horrific. To avoid the centre backs having to pass the ball just play Bayo and Davis up front and hoof it to them. Bachmann Cathcart WTE Sierralta Morris Blake Bacuna Asprilla Kalu Bayo Davis
I've sent a few messages. For midfield Mr IBB,very, VERY old,is on his way now to East Anglia. Irene's grandchildren,Kai,Kaden and another who I can't recall are also popping up there if they can put their Lego down, perhaps they can make a Lego midfield? Baa can play. She's 50, second round Wimbledon doubles 1991 and an architect. Has some great stories, especially if you haven't heard them before. I think we're ok, nothing to concern ourselves with.
I'm assuming the worst and that he'll be out again. If he's fit then play him anywhere, he's one of the few competent players this season.
Yeah, feels like Bili* is similar to Mazzarri in that Gino has put him in and isn't going to change until the end of the season. The transfers so far suggest there may be a realisation that the squad is cack and must be improved. Too little, too late and probably duds, but not Bayat crap at least. Another thing - what happened to getting a chance to play and make that position yours? This lot seem to have come in and done the opposite.
I largely agree - but I don’t think either of our RB/RWB options are good enough for this level. For that reason, I put Cathcart to RB and pair WTE with Sierralta. I don’t rate WTE at all but I guess we’d have to hope they strike up a partnership akin to the one they had a couple of seasons ago and pray that gets us by. But I think we all know that he will stick with 3 CB’s due to the lack of midfield bodies. And if by some miracle he does go with a back-four, Bilic’s one big blind spot is exposed every time…that he seems to rate Kabasele.
The transfers so far looks good in a vacuum, but to me they still feel like Pozzo trading vehicle signings. Players with strong upside but who may not be exactly what we need now. Nothing wrong with the strong upside of course, but I don't think the players so far are going to save the current season (if promotion is the aim).
Apparently he travelled to Swansea so must have been a doubt and obviously didn’t make it. Probably be out for weeks now.
Yes, they all look one for the future or will take time to adjust. Not sure I ever remember us bringing in what we immediately need mid season under Pozzo. Might be that this season is being written off, though Gino seems to think repeated new managers will solve a problem that is based on playing personnel.
