Are you that dense? Slovenia don't share the English alphabet.. letters outside of the British Isles aren't pronounced all exactly the same everywhere you go!

Ooooohhh Mrs, youve got your slovenian knickers in a twist ha ha........personally Id rather we signed 'Have-A-Look-Dube' from Njube Sundowns in Zimbabwe or Australian Keeper Norman Conquest or Brazillian forward Creedence Clearwater Couto or Congolese Striker Bongo Christ or Seychelles star Johnny Moustache or Caps United's Danger Fourpence........... East Europeans arent renowned for their sunny dispositions I spose.........

Im neither ignorant or fussy, what about Alexander Hleb ? How the fudge do you say his last name....without spitting...

It's Aliaksandr ;) and Hleb is a bit of an acquired pronunciation, the H is said in the back of the throat to give a Phlegmy sound.

    International Phonetics!

Actually Slovenia does use the same alphabet as us, they just pronounce the letters differently.

English is of course so much more straightforward. Why don't we spell "fish" as "ghoti"? "Gh" as in "enough", "o" as in "women", "ti" as in "nation".

I never argued that English was straightforward or in any way built well, it takes on the simplest structure in the world in Germanic yet makes most things so complicated.

As for Slovenia using the same alphabet, I know they do, but the point I was making is we don't all pronounce letters in the same way. If you want to get picky, they do have their own alphabet, it's only 25 letters long and runs off the Latin variant.

It has Z,C and S all with háčeks, but no Y, W, Q or X

Anyway, I was looking to get Bizi off this Man U nonsense and make Watford his no. 1 team.

So what don't we like about the Mancs? They play entertaining football, and now they've got rid off the obnoxious if brilliant Ronaldo there's only the whinging Neville to particularly dislike among the playing staff. The manager is an unpleasant bully, but he's also one of the best managers ever. The owners have saddled the club with debt, which means that they can't spend really stupid money like City or that lot in Madrid, so that's a good thing.

Which leaves us with the fans. I hate their sense of entitlement - that they're great because their team wins things, and if it doesn't win a couple of trophies every year there's something wrong with the world. Also, few of them come from Manchester, so it's not a proper community club like Watford.

So what it boils down to, Bizi, is that you should support Watford because it's a proper community club, not one of those that picks up fans all over the world because they're attracted by the glamour.

However, with our new Slovenian fan-base, it looks like we're getting more glamorous every day....

That I can't help you with, saw him against Wealdstone where he looked good, quick, strong in the tackle, passed well, and attacked well, covered well too, but, it was Wealdstone.

I never thought it would happen that a team would become more loathsome than Manure, but then Chelscum and Man City happened along. You never know what's around the corner.

I've made a point of never following the no. 1 team in any other countries as I wouldn't want the locals to think of me the same way that I think of them in their MU shirts (I've only ever heard them called MU by foreign fans).

I like Bizi, but his Manutdness is a tragic character flaw.

Thats because you're from Nottingham :) To get it at least half right try pronouncing "Ju" like "You" "r" like in "radio" and "e" like in sheep :naughty:

Well I first took some interest in United around 92-93. And I really started following United around 94 when Scholes, Giggs, Beckham, Cantona, Keane etc. took over the matters on the field (All a legends). Regarding their fans I met some of them on euro aways (Rome 07, Milan 07) and they mostly seemed a good bunch. Of course the price of success of such club is for their fans to be called bandwagon fans even if they supported the team before more recent successes (of course I acknowledge that there are more narcissist fans of the big clubs partly to a bigger fanbase that attracts more dumbasses too - e.g. Oh noes why we sold Ronaldo now we must sign Ribery/Villa/Benzema etc. or else we are dooomed!). What do I think of United? I agree on Ronaldo. Brilliant footballer but United will be better without him. Now Rooney can take the center stage. The turning point in recent success apart from Ronaldo has been stabilising the defence with VDS and the signing of Vidic and Evra that both made a major contribution to recent trophies. (Also now that United is signing more and more Ex-Yugoslavian players (Vidi*, To*ič, Ljaji*) - and Slovenia is Ex-Yugoslavian country too I can't see a reason to stop following them) :) Apart from United the most likable team of the big four is Arsenal. Now that Lehmann and Keown (and Adebayor) are gone there is no particular player to dislike on their team. A little bit cocky kids but they play good football. When tolking about dislikeable characters Chelsea on the other hand has them in abundance. And lets not start with Liverpool (Kuyt, Mascherano, Carragher, Skrtel, Lucas, Crouch before). Of other teams in EPL I fancy Aston Villa, good manager, good team, proper football philosophy.

I already started supporting Watford. Now what I should do next? :) If anyone of you guys wants to be real cool I can get you a few native Slovenian clothes to wear on the matchdays. You will be the point of attention 100% guaranteed. (http://www.hervardi.com/images/gorenjska_narodna_nosa.jpg)

When (not if) we get to know each other better I'm sure I'm gonna find a few flaws of yours too. :)

As Slovenian alphabet it goes like this: abcčdefghijklmnoprs*tuvzž so I think we Slovenians evolved a little more compared to British as we incorporate characters as č, *, ž that you don't have a clue what they are used for :]]
