Probably the happiest football supporter in the whole of Yorkshire at the minute; first year Leeds Uni student and ex-season ticket holder who has had the pleasure of watching WFC beat Leeds, Huddersfield, Sheff Wed, Hull and Brum at an aggregate score of 18-4. Although did come in for some stick after the last day at home to Leeds... You 'Orns!
Hi new this time round but have followed the yellows from every where in the country... Have been away doing a Deeney but am back now better and wiser to who YOUR REAL FRIENDS ARE.I have found that most of them are Watford fans. Have now the time to get to loads of games and most of you will know me... Can't wait till Monday
The take up rate of new members if amazing. 4160 members now. Not quite enough to fill the Rookery but getting there:sign15:
Hi there fellow hornets. I've lived in Hertfordshire my whole life and dont miss a home game if I can help it. Love my away games aswell when money allows. I recently joined wfc forums because i believe its a great place to see what everyone's current opinions are and a great place to be heard aswell. The club can only get better if people are willing to get involved and make it happen. For me I believe singing is an important part of being a fan and letting the boys know you're there cheering them on aswell as hopefully putting the opposing team off their game id therefore personally love to see a raise in noise levels at the vic.
Class of 69 First went to Vicarage Rd in 1969, aged 6, to see the Horns pulverise Rotherham 5-1. I'm now 50, so it's been 44 blissful years. I have seen it all, through thick and thin: Div 3 Champions, relegation to Div 4, Promotion to Division 1, Europe, FA Cup final and 3 playoff finals with 2 years in the Premiersh*t 2013 was a real highlight and my Geordie WFC season ticket holding wife is seriously concerned about my Cassetti man crush. Highlights: getting to accuse Andy Gray to his face of cheating when he fouled Steve Sherwood, 8-0 V Sunderland, 7-1 v Southampton and Vydra's volley v Leicester. The list is endless. I'm Watford till I die. PS - My eldest son was best friends with Elliott Blissett, Luther's son.
Hi, new member here. 25 year old lifelong Hornet, lived in Coventry, West Midlands for the last 7 years but I still go to around half the home matches (and have sorted a 75 mile ticket ready for next season). I also go to as many away games as I can afford. I have a four year old son, Charlie, who WILL be a Hornet irrespective of the geographical complications!! Any other Watford fans on here who live in the Coventry and Warwickshire area?
Blimey, isn't this daunting...anyway the name says it all for the location. Have been watching the 'Orns since my dad snuck me under the turnstile and across the gangway into the East Stand as a two year old in 1993. I haven't looked back since. (Loooong time lurker, but due to the emergence of The 1881, feel now is the time to get involved).
Linslade, you'll be delighted that there are a few of us over here. I'm in Linslade, LBH, Robert Peel and Leyton from the other side of the canal and a few others dotted about as well. It's not daunting at all. Like others who have been lurkers you'll know that its only opinions and very rarely personal. have fun and welcome
Wow! Over FOUR THOUSAND members...... That is impressive - I know there is a certain cross-over with members of the 2 other main WFC Internet Forums but how does the WFC Forums tally compare to the older, established Watford Mailing List and the relative newbee Glory Horns? How many active members have they got? I see there are at least half a dozen Facebook groups devoted to WFC too (including the one Richard Short set up) and I believe the younger fans in the 12-19 year old bracket probably are more inclined to post on those groups as they have the Facebook App permanently live and active on their mobile phones
Hi everyone. Become extremely addicted to this forum in the last few months. Looking forward to constantly checking it for inside info throughout the summer!
Hi all, as with most of the other newbies, I am a long term reader of this forum (i'm on a bosman from gloryhorns!)so after ordering my new season ticket thought I'd actually register this season and get involved! As my name suggests, been a horn since 1983, through the bad and not so bad times! My recent claim to fame is that I was recently featured in the wobby in the story about fans getting charged loads when ringing up for wembley tickets...I do like a moan and am looking forward to joining in with the debates and banter on here!!
Welcome to all newbies who have joined over the last couple of weeks, as I have been away so unable to welcome you before
I, like many on this site, have supported Watford all your life and more. Welcome to the forum Andrew. It is a very interesting time to be a fan.
Hi folks Moved into the area so thought I would start following my local team, the Hornets! Just bought myself into The Rookery and my first game watching Watford will be watching Bournemouth. So excited about the prospect that I've even invested in my first football shirt in about 15 years! I'm Craig by the way
Liverpool for my sins. I also keep an eye on how Donny Rovers do since my relatives live there and so did I for the first 4 years of my life.
Hope the Hornets don't disappoint. Looks likely to be a season which could bring big things. We are not the noisiest but our new singing section the 1881 will hopefully address this. Welcome to the forum.
