Saw Enter Shikari at Wembley Arena last night, was great even Eurovision's Sam Ryder turned up for a song. Was expecting Barry from EastEnders to turn up but alas he did not.

    The Warning.

Three sisters that went from this video, the bass player was 8, drummer 11 and lead guitar/vocals 13 at the time ffs....

To this in around 11 years. Incredibly talented to say the least and they have only really got started.

This is their youtube page https://www.youtube.com/@TheWarning/videos sort by oldest first and follow the journey.

This lot should be far, far bigger than they are. Randomly happened across them on Facebook about 18 months ago when I clicked on someone's profile, and I saw one of their friends profile picture was of them holding a guitar playing in a band, so I clicked on out of interest, and... There are some great rock bands around at the moment, a heavy female influence bringing something new and exciting to the scene.

Just fall in love with them, exceptional talents in instrument craft, lyrics and performance. Pau the drummer is something else, belting out a song while heavy drumming, no problem.

    Yes, v sad.
Cockney rebles "Judy teen" was a great song as was the famous "Come up and see me (make me smile)" which sounds a happy jolly song but the lyrics are actually vindictively directed at his former band members who, he felt, had abandoned him and forced him to form a whole new band with whom he then had his biggest hit, so "Come up and see me, make me smile"
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Make_Me_Smile_(Come_Up_and_See_Me)

    You've done it all
    You've broken every code
And pulled the rebel to the floor
    You spoiled the game
    No matter what you say
For only metal, what a bore.

    There ain't no more
    You've taken everything
From my belief in Mother Earth
    Can you ignore
    My faith in everything?
'Cause I know what faith is and what it's worth

    Good old Texas!

As you mentioned, they tick the box on a few different genres. They're very much a rock band, but some songs are a very different to others. Heavy rock, soft rock, southern rock, blues, a bit of country.

    Fantastic band.

    Best band name ever?

    XavlegbmaofffassssitimiwoamndutroabcwapwaeiippohfffX

Which means "Acidic Vaginal Liquid Explosion Generated by Mass Amounts of Filthy Fecal Fisting and Sadistic Septic Syphilic Sodomy Inside the Infected Maggot Infested Womb of a Molested Nun Dying Under the Roof of a Burning Church While a Priest Watches and Ejaculates in Immense Perverse Pleasure over His First Fresh Fetus"

An example of their fine work here.

    Happy Zombie Jesus Day everyone.

Listening to James' new album 'Yummy' while working. It's decent. Feel like I've missed out only really getting into them in recent times.

Here's one of the singles, 'Our World'.

I liked this which is also relatively recent....a bit different and takes a minute to warm up ! Pierluigi Collina had assumed lead singer responsibilites by then :).

Everywhere is too far away and I am reliant on public transport which I dont mind for short journeys. Would have been at Leeds on the 22nd or maybe Glasgow if I had my own car. Not really up for a festival by myself. If they had been at Newcastle or Sunderland I would have gone as they are short public transport journeys for me.

I was meant to go to see Babymetal in Wolverhampton in November, bought the ticket but then I had to give my car up in August, couldnt afford to keep running it plus the MOT was up and it failed badly. Was gutted about that.

For anyone who maybe interested I have stumbled across a website called ukmix.org which has a tonne of information and not least charts and sales .
Someone had access to the top 200 singles from between 1983 and 1993 and is posting them up which is no mean feat in itself . The site is a bit hard to navigate but look for chart analysis to see where that single you purchased in 1986 ,but never reached the top 75 ended up !.

  33. Keighley

You can do that on https://www.officialcharts.com/. Although it doesn’t give sales figures.

  34. Lubaduck

The official charts only go to top 75 . 76 to 200 was never released publicly and only
to the record company of the artist occupying one of those positions .
