Seems high, but then I think that if we can keep him happy and on form, he could be one of the best wingers in the league.
Where? I can't find any recent rumours. If we sign him and Amrabat I'd be happy - Amrabat looks more solid technically and can operate centrally as well as wide, while Montero would give us the width and blistering pace that we currently lack.
My Uncle is a Swansea fan and pissed himself laughing that we've offered 10 million. He thinks they'd have accepted close to half.
I know it's a YouTube video so obviously he didn't play like this every game, but he really isn't crap as some people claim. Just a snippet of him last season https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=QvU8Jsdzosk
Surely we wouldn't start at 11mil for a bench player at a club which is pretty likely to get relegated. Might be Swansea releasing this news to anchor the price high, and make other clubs feel that 8 million is a steal. He's either fantastic, or he is non-existent, but far less consistent than Townsend, who himself blows hot and cold.
Looks good in them clips, if we get him I hope we get someone else of a similar ilk. It is strange that Swansea would sell him to what they may see as a potential relegation rival, same as Ayew to Sunderland, perhaps they are fcked financially..
He isn't ITK at all bud, but he is a big Swansea fan. We all have an idea of what our players are worth and will sell for. He said they signed him for 4 million and cannot possibly see how he's now got a 10 million price tag.
This all seems to have escalated rather quickly? Vague rumour to 'pissed himself laughing that we've offered 10 mil'. Is there a shred of evidence to this?
Quick, tricky and gets stuck in. I like that. What I don't like is his final ball. But if club want him then that's good enough for me.
If he can do this on a regular basis hes worth 10 mill
People said the same about Capoue and Gomes. The fact is, we re not going to be able to attract or afford players who are top quality and on the top of the game. Gino has already stated they are looking to sign quality players who have lost their way.
agreed - but we can do better than Montero for 10m or townsend for 14m Philips for 4 for a start - but with the scouting network that we are said to have in the group we should have a shopping list - why didn't we sign Gray? I am not a serial moaner about the squad - but we have known since Perotti told us to do one that we had an issue and i can't believe that the only name was Iturbe - Jan comes around after December each year - so it feels a bit shambolic that with 10 days left that the options we are considering are the ones being discussed
Gray didn't want to leave the Midlands even if we were in for him, which we might have been. And if clubs aren't releasing players until they've done their business then how do you expect us to sign our targets? There's clearly a list of wingers we're going through and there's still 10 days left, what is the issue? And you are a serial moaner and it's ****ing boring the hell out of everyone.
People have watched him so much on here that they think he's left-footed when he is indeed right footed, but likes to shift it onto his left. I'm so glad they are offering their definitive opinion to enlighten our blundering scouts, what would we do without them.
So it seems that they think that they can sell us Montero for £10m and but Doumbia for £14m Crazy thought - why don't we buy Doumbia and **** them over
What are Swansea up to by the way. Seems to me selling Montero, Shelvey and Ayew would be a bit risky in their position?
Doumbia only wants to play in Russia? All things being equal wouldn't Russia be the last place an African fella would want to play? Or is the racism issues they face over stated by the press?
