Don't blame you for being worried but it's actually very stable! Bolted through the roof and no way its coming off

Have you got a roll cage installed inside?

Nope, we haven't. Thankfully the car doesn't go too fast with 3 guys and a fair bit of kit in it so just hoping nothing goes wrong! The rally itself also isn't a race so we shouldn't be going to fast/carelessly anyway

We are storing a reliant robin for a Canadian team and they wanted to fit a roll cage in their car... I don't think they realise how small a reliant robin is!

Not long now, July 19th it says on the website. Good luck with it.

They may have watched Top Gear though so it's probably a good idea.

You've missed a trick with your foof box though and being sponsored by a funeral company. I;ts not too late to get some MDF and fashion a coffin shaped cover.

Enjoy the start of the season!

Oh and by the way, the reliant robin's transmission went so they ended up buying a clio! Its been a stressful week for both teams.

I have been keeping up with it all on fb, bent coppers and dodgy fuel which meant they had to turn around at one point. Some of the scenary has been breath taking.

    Thanks!

Cyan is right, we didn't think the car could cope with the Pamir Highway as it was struggling with hills so changed our route and missed out Tajikistan. Spent a few days in the amazing Kyrgyzstan and entered Kazakhstan this morning!

Difficult to keep up to date with WFC but a great result for us on saturday.

How far are you from the finish line?
How many days (if car behaves) are from the end?
Are you driving the car back or dumping it there and flying home?

An old colleague of mine took part a few years ago and raised money for charity at the same time which was nice of him. The charity money went to good causes minus the cost of their fuel, any hotel stays they made and food and drink. So they pretty much had a free 6 week jolly all for a good cause. The icing on the cake was they left the ambulance there which is the aim of the game for the organisers to resell (I believe again the proceeds go the charity) but they booked First Class air fares home the cheeky s**ts.

Our trip has been quite different as we have not touched any of the charity money and paid for everything ourselves. The cars can no longer be left in Mongolia either, so we are driving home

Crossed the finish line today! Been one hell of a trip, the journey back will be much shorter as we aim for Moscow then cut through Europe.

Yea, it was definitely the best part of the trip. Camping there was just fantastic, we were often 100+ miles from the next town so the stars looked fantastic!

Good move - Tajikistan is the place Private Eye say the Bournemouth owner, Max Demin, plunders the mineral reserves for his wealth.

Great video, great music. Ca Plane pour moi....
