When you think how poor a bang average championship striker is..... consider the fact that half of them are not even that good!! Rajovic is one of those keeping the average down.
This game has got 3 nil to them written all over it. Biggest question of all is how come we manage to get into this position so many times in recent history? It must be something that goes on under GP, before his tenure we had periods of being a bit cr@p or lightweight but we usually gave our all. My take is that we just buy too many bang average players, along with players that somehow find their way to us via GP trading, but are not particularly enamoured but will take the money...
I've heard through another tenous link that this is the team. Hamer TDB (Right back) Sema (CB) Rajovic (CB) Andrews (LB) Livermore (left wing) Grieves (centre) Martins (Chalobah role) Asprilla (also Chalobah role) Sierralta (target man) Ince (fox in the box). No right mid or right winger as TBD is, in the words of VI, "versatile".
4-4-2? 4-2-3-1? Decent line-up though. Some quality on the bench as well with Martins and Kone. Clearly doesn't fancy Andrews at all.
Injured during warm up. Trips over Val's coat and does his Hammy. Out for the season. Comes back next November.
Warmup. On a related note, amazing times when we are rendered somewhat pleased by the presence of the atrocious Ngakia on a teamsheet. Perhaps that is what Val was going for all along - to smash the entitlement among the fanbase, expecting a player trained as a right back and capable of playing as a right back, to be fielded at right back. There's one in the eye to us!
4-2-4 high press but with two midfielders and cbs forming a defensive square to catch the counter. FBs will be up and down wings a lot.
An hour in and one shot on target, but more importantly, 66% possession, so it looks like all those passes between the back 4 or 5 must really be coming off.
They need to have a stats rule that pass completion only counts if a pass receiver is in the oppo half. P**sing around in your own half not included...
