http://sportwitness.co.uk/ligue-1-p...couts-agent-soon-discuss-future-club-leaders/ 21 year old central midfielder playing for N*mes. Has only managed 6 starts and 2 sub appearances despite Nimes battling relegation which doesn't sound great, but he's just broken into the team and scored recently as well
Strangely, his secondary position is left-back according to Transfermarkt. https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/matteo-ahlinvi/profil/spieler/509234 It seems a bit left-field so had a look at any connections to Watford via the two agents named in the article (Benny Madi & Julien Tournut) and both Kabasele & Perica are represented by LIAN Sports Group - the company Tournut is associated with on, again, Transfermarkt. But... the site lists the player as being represented by a different company, namely N10.
Might not have played enough to get a work permit to join in Jan? Nimes could probably do with some cash though, with his contract soon running out, them in the relegation zone, and the general state of Ligue 1 at the moment.
I make it that he's played 35% of minute which gets him 6 points, he gets 12 from coming from a Ligue 1 club which puts him at 18 so should be a comfortable pass I'd imagine.
Is that 35% just for this season though? I thought the figure needs to be calculated from the entirety of possible games in the last 12 months. edit: if you include last season's fixtures from Jan I make it about 17%.
Ah didn't realise it had to be 12 months, that complicates matters then and puts him at 13 (I forgot about the league positioning criteria). Might get snuck through on an appeal, particularly if they make a case saying he might've made the minutes had the Ligue 1 season not be called off (but considering he didn't play in the league at all last season it might be a tough ask).
Look forward to his joining and seeing the news on the official site, only for him to sign a contract a week later for Marseille
