The club he's now on loan at, CF Fuenlabrada, play in Segunda Division B (Group 1) in Spain.
Managed by Antonio Calderon, who played in Scotland for the last 3 or 4 years of his career, they've reached their highest league/tier placing after promotion last season.

They're in Madrid, formed in 1975 and have a ground holding 2,500 called Estadio Fernando Torres.

Reading an interview with their Fuenlabrada born owner/president Jonathan Praena from 2016, he said his aim at the time was to move up the leagues, buy experienced players at their level and triple the attendances. The ground holds 2,500!! How many were turning up for heavens sake?!

President Praena also looks like the love child of actor Stephen Mangan and former MP David Mellor.

 

I see the Mellor but would substitute Charles Laughton for Mangan.

At least he will have a Spanish passport by now so will be able to play for us when we feel he's ready.

Pozzo ownership of the Granada B team only finished this summer.

Expect to see many young players leave on loan to Spanish teams from Watford.
Even though you may not recall us signing them in the first place.

We practically inherited an entire reserve team - most of whom need to stay in Spain for the usual work permit reasons.

 

Martin Samuel is going to go **** when he realises we have 15 players we've never acknowledged owning on loan to Spanish clubs

 

I presume it's like organising any local community club. Send out loads of invites, get loads of people registering interest on FB and then, on the first day of preseason training, see who actually turns up and try and make a side out of them.
