I've just seen this Vydra "miss" on Twitter. A snatched chance which pales into insignificance compared with Obbi Oulare being through one on one against the keeper from 25 yards out and putting it way wide of the left hand post against the Bolton u21s
His official fb (at least I think its official) posted a link to this: http://www.wdsport.co.uk/2016/04/if-matej-vydra-was-a-dog-hed-be-put-down/
This guy is being a **** and bizarrely using Vydra's shocking miss last night to have a dig at Oulare.
Vydra has done a lot more for this club than Oulare, so if criticising his miss makes someone a ****, what does your comment about someone who is probably in our top 10 scorers of the last 3 decades make you?
The fact that Vydra has even agreed to play for Reading is shocking enough. The fact that they are abusing and scapegoating the best player who will ever play for their tinpot club due to their pathetic inferiority complex is simply staggering to me. He's far too good for that shower and playing for them will have been extremely demeaning and embarrassing for him. I'd say get him back ASAP and let Reading keep their loan fee if I wasn't so sure that the money would be donated straight to the Tory party or put in some offshore bank account. A thoroughly disgusting club who we should never do business with again.
Disagree entirely, I think with Deeney up front and Vydra in the hole, he'd be pretty effective. Even though Iggy's done really well, I think Troy and Vydra would carry a bigger goal threat.
Vydra having lunch with and chewing the fat with Quique, then Quique basically says he loves him. Someone better check on Hornet23.
One needs to compare how many goals Matej Vydra has scored whilst partnering Troy Deeney as against the number he has managed without him. Something like 37-38 of his goals in this country with TD and about a dozen or so without. I'd have him back next season absolutely and I reckon his goal touch alongside Troy would return even in the Premier League.
Whilst Vydra is no doubt a talented striker, I don't see him playing in the hole and I believe that suggestion would've been laughed at in August. Despite his ability, that doesn't make him not a ****.
Ok do me a favour...watch Vydra's goals in the Zola season....he's either running acrooss the back line drawing people out of position creating space for other players or running onto a through ball, or he sits in the hole giving an option. His second goals against Brighton away and Leicester in the playoff show that he received the ball deep and ran at defenders. I think he could do well but is clearly a confidence player, so maybe if QSF adopts the famous man manager style then he could definitely get something out of Vydra.
Vydra has an off season every other year in the uk. Years1 and 3 good, so year 5 should be a good one.
Vydra's best seasons have certainly come when he's playing next to Troy. In a bizarre coincidence, Ighalo's also experienced his career best run of goalscoring form since playing next to Troy.
I would sooner see Vydra play up top alongside our Troy. Iggy is good but incredibly over rated, his general play outside the penalty area is truly awful. If Vydra could get his 5h1t together, he'd be a quality player for us next season.
We should get Steve Leo Bellek back and stick him next to Troy....he'd rip the premier league a new one!
Bit of an exaggeration to say that Iggy's play outside the penalty area is "truly awful" given that many of his better chances have originated from outside the 18-yard box - did you see the Man Utd away game, for instance? And I'd say he's underrated if anything, at least since the New Year, in particular by those who like to gleefully claim that his only saving grace is finding the back of the net.
Oh I love the guy but his passing is woeful, he has an atrocious touch and he has no vision. Just keep him in the penalty area where he can do some damage!
Vydra Does he have a place here next season? In a season where we have been so reliant on Deeney and Ighalo, and where we have so clearly lacked extra options up front I know some of us have been disappointed that Matej is away on loan. He does not look like he has had that good a time of it down at Reading and could probably use an arm around his shoulder next season. We all know he can occasionally be a miserable ****, and has at times seemed like he thinks he is too good for us but hopefully this year could make him realise that he benefits from playing with Deeney. I would welcome him back next year, especially as a good option off the bench. Thoughts?
I think he certainly has a place, and Quique has said the door is not closed. If you remember, Vydra was loaned out because he couldn't/wouldn't adapt to Quique's tactics (and Quique didn't like his attitude much anyway). If he works on those, I think we could work something out. He's obviously got talent.
I would like to think that our summer signings will be of the quality that Vydra is deemed nowhere near good enough to command a place in the squad
He should've just got his head down and trained, Quique wanted to play with one striker but quickly changed his mind when Iggy scored against Everton and in hindsight Vydra would've been a good option. If he had remained professional then he would've had a lot of Premier League game time by now. Then again we got a seven figure sum for one year loan which is pretty decent. The boy needs to learn his lesson soon, he'll be 24 by the time he returns, make or break year for him I believe but with the right attitude he could be a great asset a potential world class striker.
I would love to see him given another go here. I think he is quality when playing alongside someone like Deeney.
Bizarre comment. Are you basing your assertation on anything real or just spouting bollox for the sake of it?
it's quite simple - Vydra was deemed not good enough by the club for this season - do you understand that? The club want to improve year on year - understand that? Ergo (you might not understand that but look it up) if the club's summer signings are an improvement, he won't be good enough for next season. Got it?
