More importantly, what if Richard Hughes saw it? Surely we should be looking to offload the rest of his contract to Bournemouth once Valencia have rumbled him. "From the people that brought you Ibarbo...."
Was excited given his pedigree when he signed but just goes to show there's so many factors to a player being successful at a club at any given time. If he were a few year's younger it might be worth giving him another 6 months but it seems this is the best for all. I do hope he finds his form again mainly so they can take him permanently, good luck to him.
http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sp...92.Watford_midfielder_joins_Valencia_on_loan/ It's a shame it didn't work out for him and us. He's a very good pro and a nice guy but the Premier League just was not really for him it seems. Fantastic pedigree, so was certainly the type of calibre we should always be looking to sign. This one just didn't work out but it was worth taking the risk.
Didn't realise he played so many games for us in the second half of the season. Failed to make an impact and obviously a good player but not suited to the premier league, Wish him well
A pretty fair assessment. Brought in at a time when the last thing we needed was another defensive midfielder. That and the fact that you need January transfer window signings to hit the ground running and make an immediate impact. He did neither.
Whether or not this comes off, it's amazing that we're even being linked with selling a player of this calibre!
Sounds like was having a little pop with regard to the way football was played by saying in the WO "at Valencia is also important to win in a certain way" Do these players not watch English football before they come to work out the style of play?
Gary Neville said that when he took over the club. Saying and playing a certain way isn't always possible
