Good analysis of Lemina on here already by Dusbero. He is sometimes described as a defensive midfielder but more box to box in my view. Don't think he is natural cover for Chalobah so Cleverley/ Capoue most directly 'threatened'. If there is any truth left in this connection I reckon either Capoue is on his way or the Pozzos cannot let their target slip away. Briefly Lemina, Pereyra and Pogba played as a tasty Juve midfield. The final piece of the jigsaw could be tricky...

Do we really need another foreign midfielder in the squad? I'm sure he's a capable player but at some point we have to acknowledge that we can only have so many CMs on the roster. Just let it go.

 

You can never have enough Doc Martens in the bottom of your wardrobe! Your number one target Gino...you must make a proper bid. Pereyra would never forgive us if his mate goes elsewhere.

 

I would be very suprised if we don't put in a bid at least:
- Pozzo's have been scouting him since January transfer window in 2015.
- A hard working box-to-box midfielder, a role in the midfield that we don't have a single player 'suited' as.
- Pozzo's make the transfers so if they wanted to will do it even if Silva said the midfield seems to be complete.
- By the looks of things, Capoué and Behrami seem to be on there way out so. Capoué plays a similar role to Chalobah and Cleverly as classic CM's. Behrami is a poor man's Doucoure.
- Only 23, taking recent transfers into account we're building for the future.
- Experienced enough to deal with the pressures of first team football.
- Juve like to do deals with Pozzo owned clubs.
- Good mates with Bobby P, could play a pivotal role in the transfer if we get into a bidding war with another team.

 

if we have cash to spare we need more right backs not midfielders

right backs are far more versatile, they can play anywhere on the right side at the back

 

Also we need squad depth. Lemina gives us that. Can we rely on Chabs and Will H being able to play the whole season in the Prem? They could, not saying they will, struggle.

 

You can when there is a legally enforced shoe limit and you still need a good pair of trainers but have too many Docs to fit them.

 

I wonder if Imelda Marcos had any Docs in her collection...

 

Well done on everyone bringing the Lemina thread back to the top out of blind hope, given we haven't been strongly linked with him in over a month.

 

I have 7 pairs of Babolat shoes on the go but no Docs.

I would however quite like a Lemur/Lemina to add to our collection.

This sums up the window so far from the forum prospective. Too many people believing that we have been in for Lemina and/or Allan all along. Where is there any cast iron evidence of this? Same with Carillo and Ghezzal. Chatting about rumours is fine, but stop taking it is fact.
