Did a great job this afternoon, a clean sheet and no errors whilst playing in goal.

 

Definitely got 2 yellows. So yeah, 1 game ban.

 

What on earth does this guy do in training to not even get in the team ahead of Hamer?

 

Hamer was better today than Okoye was when he played.

 

He did some things well, but he’s no better than a third choice keeper IMO. He rolled a ball out straight to a Coventry player, but luckily managed to save the shot with his foot. He also pushed back into play a routine shot which was straight at him that went directly to a Coventry player. We got away with it as his follow up shot went over the bar. Stupid things like that I think you’d see a lot if he played every week.

But I agree, he’s a lot better than Okoye.

 

Feel a little bit sorry for him to get injured right when Bachmann was unavailable, I'd have been interested to see if he could offer something, but yes, a very odd deal. A Bayat deal I wonder?

 

Are they trying him out with some new arms and legs ?

Great. Shame it’s just on loan. We could have done with getting our money back. But at least it would seem we’re now in for a new keeper, although we might be promoting one of the kids from the academy as third choice.

 

I just don't think we're signing a new keeper unfortunately. This loan is likely a combination of wage saving and maybe giving Okoye a fresh opportunity. Think we'll have Bachmann, Hamer and Youth GK this Season.
