Might be spin, who knows.. Anyway, the person writing the article has an epic fail by spelling Malky wrong. :forehead:
Well Mackay will say one thing, the Russo's will say another. Im not sure now whether we would be better off keeping (and testing his loyalty with a one year extension...) / losing him on a free in the summer. Or getting a fee for him now and potentially struggling if we dont bring in a decent replacment.... Hrmm
It screams out "come and get him". With scum Reading losing today, (again :]]), and other clubs now in the mix, it's a final push to get the maximum for him. I'm saying £2M+.
According to Sky Sports we have turned down Readings final bid. Fair play to the Russo's, maybe they have relised Smith is worth more than they thought! http://www.skysports.com/football/match_reaction/0,19764,11065_3149313,00.html
Yeah just seen that. Rodgers remains hopeful of signing forward Tommy Smith from his former club Watford before the end of the month but has been left in limbo after the Hornets blocked a move. Blackwell had a £1.8million bid for Smith accepted earlier in the summer and despite matching that fee Rodgers has so far failed to reach a similar agreement. He said: "Tommy's situation is that we have offered the exact same deal in every way as Sheffield United but that was turned down. "We are looking at that but we need to move on to other targets and we are doing that. "I haven't given up on him but the reality is our offer has been turned down and United's was accepted. That is up to the clubs to decide now."
how the uck does brenda know that! more tapping up phone calls? yeah - brownie points for JR when he don't sell to Reading! Just back from the Oval - double whammy today - Brownie points duely credited to JR! Well done Mr Chairman! TS not going to Reading...
Rodgers `Best Manager` Loved his interview on TV last night when he said his aim was to be the best manager in Reading`s history (adding I worked with some of the best players in the world at Chelsea - and people said I was mad to leave). Rodgers - `people were right`:]]
