Surely it’s just a matter of mutual respect? If Watford have told Granada not to include him in their travelling party and they’ve done it anyway, then it damages relations between the clubs which we are led to believe are better than most.

 

Here we go again though - why do people need to ‘get out more’ just because they have a different opinion?

It’s literally just a different way of thinking and coming to a different conclusion - not a sign that someone is sat, lonely and depressed at home rocking back and forth.

 

I agree. I’d dearly love there to be another interested party and for us to pull the plug on this deal claiming Granada have breached terms somehow. But we all know that isn’t something that will happen!

But if it did, I bet those on here saying they aren’t bothered would be saying ‘serves them right, well done Watford for standing up for yourselves’.

I’m not at all annoyed or upset as people seem to be claiming - I just think it’s utterly bizarre and something that should not have been allowed to happen. Who’s fault it is that it has, I don’t know. I’d love to believe we have tried to stop it...

 

I hope there's one coming at the end of the transfer market when it's confirmed he won't be signing on again (if it's confirmed anyway), otherwise that is very poor form for a club legend

Think we can safely assume he won’t be getting the clubs ‘best wishes’ when it is announced. Be interesting to see if we give a detailed announcement as with Estupinan or if it’s literally just a footnote.

 

We agree on this that it's bizarre. It is a bit odd. So what? It's not going to make a difference to our reputation in the football world and the only damage to our reputation with Watford fans will be the ones who do need to get out more (not necessarily you, although interesting that you were seemingly offended by that...)

I wasn’t ‘offended’ by it I might just add. I just find it a bit of an odd thing to accuse people with just because they have a different opinion.

 

Listening to Ivic today, it sounds like he’s not covered himself in glory with us.

Such a shame, as I really think he’ll go on to be a top goal scorer. But I completely back the club in getting rid.

 

Remember as a kid, you had those pick n mix sweets where you put them all in a bag, and they'd be weighed at the checkout. You expected it to be like £2, but when you get to the till you find it's £3.50 and you don't have enough cash? Remember that feeling and how angry you'd be? It sounds like thats been Suarez in the past few weeks.

 

It wasn't an accusation of you, or anyone particular in the thread, especially those who say they're not bothered. But I stand by the point that if you are genuinely annoyed or upset by this, and I'm sure there'll be some on enjoooooooythegame who are, then I think you can be safely classed as saaaaaaad

 

Sierralta was officially 'on trial' I believe, was just a matter of deciding whether he'd come on loan or on a permanent

 

I’m now also a little suspicious he had Covid at all - possibly just something he’s said to the club to avoid training? Definitely felt more disdain from Ivic for him than the others. Felt to me a little like the others are training away from the main group - but Suarez has just not bothered at all and stayed away from the club.

 

Don't the club have to inform the league as part of track/test and trace? Can't see them mentioning it unless 100% sure it happened

 

Yeah I’m sure it’s still legit - just from hearing more about Suarez from Ivic, it makes you wonder. Other clubs have released statements when employees have tested positive - we just had Ivic saying it almost off the cuff.

 

He's been at the club, both the stadium and on the training ground quite a few times over quite a stretch of time, so I am struggling to see when he would have had it unless it was when he first arrived in England maybe?

 

True - Was Maps case officially announced? Agree though I think Ivic's wording and tone said it all.

 

I seem to remember he was pissed off that news of his case got leaked to the press in the early days of training for Project Restart

That's all true, but they were still contracted to us, they were both heralded as being like new signings, then they both downed tools and agitated for a move away. Stuff them.

It’s just odd rather than a big issue. As for your last point I think if Ince had got off the United bus in full tracksuit and then celebrated on the pitch after a league cup win for United then I’d imagine West Ham fans would have been more angry than they were. Like I said never seen anything like it.

It’s just a minor symptom of the circus we have become and a mild annoyance. If it doesn’t bother you then that’s your perogative, but telling people of another viewpoint that they “need to get out more” is unnecessary.

True. I came to the thread late but seemed to me a few people had a grizzle and then the rest of the posts were them being told to “get out more” and then the usual fan division arguments set in. Our fan base is so fractured now that minor issues are going to cause pages of arguments. Bad times.

 

We I say get out more, it reminds of curtain twitcher types, people who look out the window all day and get annoyed about completely minor things that in the context of life and the universe are completely irrelevant. I just think that given the circumstances surrounding it all, if you’re genuinely annoyed about something like this then you can’t have much else in your life going on. It’s all about context, to me in the context of my life it’s an irrelevance at best.

 

Look mate, if you're posting on a football forum and have an opinion different to mine, you need to get out more. Even if you're out when posting, which is possible in the year 2020, you need to get out out more.

If you agree with me though, you still need to get out more, just not as much out as if you didn't. You sad ****. Doing exactly what I'm doing. Which isn't sad. I go out a lot.

This is all irrelevant in the reality of life but I will still do it. Whilst mocking you for doing it. You sad act.

 

The way Pozzo runs my club annoys me, so minor things like this just add to that annoyance.

That said if Pozzo led us into administration in the context of life I really wouldn’t care compared to family and friends health.

I think you can be bothered about minor things without it meaning “you don’t have much going on in your life”. I get enraged if the table next to me starts playing videos on their phone loudly in a restaurant as if it’s their lounge. I mean absolutely livid. I’m wound up now just thinking about it and it hasn’t even happened.

But in the context of life obviously it’s completely insignificant.

 

Is it shambolic though? If the deal is not quite complete but barring something disastrous it will be signed after they return from their European game, I see know issue with allowing him to travel with their squad to help with some interaction. I can't say I've ever seen it before but actually I don't see an issue with it happening. I don't understand why Watford are being criticised for this, sounds like a gentleman's agreement between the two clubs. Not sure we would have gained anything from saying this couldn't happen. I know you are not a fan of the owners but I do feel as though you jump on them at any opportunity, at some points quite rightly, where as on this occasion I don't think anything has been done poorly

 

In my view the ownership is shambolic. This incident however is just irritating. Bizarre and I’ve honestly never seen it happen before and this kind of thing happens a few times for us (Gueye/Zuniga more significant but a running theme). It’s just a cumulative bucket of chaos with Pozzo.

 

The deal is probably all done and Granada have asked us not to announce it until they have. Stop getting your knickers in a twist.
