I might be alone but I want Liverpool to win the league Not because I admire their plucky under doggy ness against the mighty Man City No, I want them to win the league so 30,000 Everton fans heads explode with rage and indignation
They had a tough game today. Lots of crunching tackles and I’m sure some of their players will be hurting in the morning. If this was at Vicarage Road then I would go for a shock win. Being away though, Liverpool will have enough about them to claim the three points. I just don’t want us to get smashed and our goal difference gets wrecked. Would love a win, and I would definitely take a draw. The biggest thing for me though is giving a good account of ourselves and not being thumped. Liverpool 2-1 Watford
You said the exact same thing about Wolves, Everton and Crystal Palace. I've never understood the deliberate pessimism of some people. Will this thinking help you cope if Liverpool manage to spring a surprise?
Might be worth putting a tenner on if you've got one lying around the house. Just need to hold your nerve if the bookies offer to let you cash in early.
I wonder if history will be repeated, when Newcastle were 10 points clear and screwed it up ex-Liverpool player Keegan had a massive meltdown on telly. Liverpool had a similar lead recently and have been pegged back. Will Klopp give the viewing nation a similar rant?
I looked at one the other month - they had a thread called 'Players burgled whilst playing in a match'. Can you imagine that on this board? Christ.
Ah. So if we achieve successive 5-1s, the reliability of news from the stables might suffer? Never in my 32 years have I heard of something so calculating!
Klopp always gives a bucket full of smugness to the nation when they win. But a poor & small minded loser. Not at his best after our 3-0 a couple of years ago.
Do we know the ref yet? Watch out for a crafty dive from Salah. His good, humble guy pose rather busted after his episodes vs Palarse, Brighton, Newcastle (contd p94).
Just as long as that idiot Javi doesn’t play Deolefeu up front in pathetic attempt to use his pace to score a hat trick .
Can stand the guy - absolute fake . Journalists in Sky’s Sunday supplement saying he’s one of the most unpopular manager amongst other teams as he is constantly abusing opposition managers/staff/players whilst in the touchline.
This is lifted from one forum: The scumbags actually wait to see who is on the pitch before selecting their victim. That’s why Liverpool players have so many ‘injuries’, it’s just the players staying at home on matchday to protect their property. Klopp is so paranoid that he surrounds himself with lookalikes. He has one stationed at his home who can often be seen in the front garden trimming his bush. It has been alleged that Klopp’s wife even confuses the Kloppleganger with the real Klopp. Apparently, there has been at least one incident where several players exited the ground after one match only to find their cars on bricks and the wheels gone. It turned out to be Liverpool’s own fans that did this. With this going on in the background is it any wonder they haven’t won the league since football was invented in 1992? So based on this, I think we’ll do it. worm eating birdy things to be stung by The Mighty Hornets 2-1
I would love to get a win, like we dud in 2000 with Mooney. Christ was that really nineteen years ago? I just cannot see us going there and getting molestered like we have done before. Defensivly we have been solid and one our day we can match anyone. But we Wednesday night be one of our days? Lets look at the facts. A mis firing Mo Salad Bar, a defensive unit that has proven it can be breached. They have drawn a lot lately. Even Leicester went there and got a point. They have only lost once in the leauge and havent lost at home all season. 1-1 wuth us being proud of a fanastic point. Klopp gets wingy and steams up his glasses.
Nor was Mr HH. I have, on occasion, felt the need to point out to Mr HH that he is by far the less gracious loser of the two of us when our teams meet. Unfortunately, there has been little opportunity for him to prove my point in our recent matches - fingers crossed Wednesday will be that day.
As if to prove the theme of this thread, Liverpool benefitted from FOUR injuries to key opposition players during the game. I'd be interested to know how many other sides have gone to Old Trafford and had a third of the Man Utd team crocked by halftime. Unbelievable good fortune. They'd have got battered otherwise.
Who the hell uses mopeds for a ram raid?! Did they all have dodgy afros and squeak at each other to "Carm down, carm down" ?
We will win at Anfield in the future I'm sure, but I don't think it will be on Wednesday. Liverpool are stuttering a little recently, but they always tend to score a bucket load of goals against us. We've played them 31 times in our history and have beaten them on just 5 occasions, drawing 4 and losing 22. So historically the stats are not on our side. I don't think it will be another 5-0 or 6-1 thrashing, but Liverpool will probably keep a clean sheet and score a couple of goals in a routine 2-0 win. Looking at the times Liverpool matches are being televised, over their next 12 matches only the Watford game is not being shown!!
