RICHARD LEE: 'I WANT TO GO OUT THERE AND GIVE MY ALL'
RICHARD Lee has played the last three games and is clearly loving every minute of it.
Lee has started seven games so far this campaign, deputising in place of Ben Foster.
He said: "Ben and I get on very well and we have Alec there as well. We do push each other; Ben's had his England call-up and has been playing brilliantly.
"For me it's been good to have someone of a similar age to kind of bounce of, I think my game has kicked on a notch this season."

Lee was in inspired form at Manchester City recently

Lee who was handed his Watford debut in 2001 has seen a turnaround this season following his loan spell at Blackburn Rovers last campaign.

"For me at the moment my jobs quite clear - when I get my chance it is to just perform to the highest of my capabilities. But it's up to the boss ultimately.
"To be back involved with things has been great and obviously to get a run in the team as well - I'm loving every minute of it."
Looking ahead to Newcastle on Saturday and Lee is looking forward to the trip north.
"Currently the mood in the camp is good, we've had a couple of hard fought games but the attitude and feeling is very good.
"I'm hoping I keep my place on Saturday, I want to go out there and give my all."

I think Lee has come on leaps and bounds this season, having foster there has helped him, and the run in the team has done him good.

I know Jobr still don't rate him but that may change you never know.

    He will play Saturday.

Does he think Alec is that much of a threat to his place?

I don't think he feels Alec is a threat.

Do you think when foster is back Aidy will keep lee in goal?

Considering the last 3 games played have been 2 clean sheets?

Foster apparently isn't fit yet, nor got the nod from Fungus.

    So Lee plays Saturday.
Why in that interview done earlier today state he hopes to keep his place, has he realised Alec is the better keeper :)

i think when Ben is 100% he will be back, regardless of what coco does or doesn't achieve between now and then.

You could be right that Ben will be back in regardless of what Lee acheives, as it may be a condition of his Loan agreement.

    Lee's recent performances

I am quite astounded (and pleased) by RL's recent performances. He does make the odd error, but surely even Jobr must agree that his shot-stopping has been super and even his kicking has come on in leaps and bounds this season?

    If Fosters fit, he plays.

We don't want SAF taking him off us.

    Lee deserves to play

I would like to make it clear that I am a VERY BIG Ben fan, but I think Richard should keep his place in the team even if Ben is fit.

Lee has taken his opportunity well, and has been brilliant between the sticks, so until that situation takes a turn for the worst, if indeed it does?, he should keep his place in the team ahead of Ben!
