No he doesn't, he supports Man Utd.

 

He'd fit our recent signing pattern as a youth teamer randomly reappearing at the club decades later, but he's also 34 and has done fine, but I wouldn't say he's better than Gomes, and he's not about to improve, so I'd say good luck to him but it'd be utterly pointless.

If it's the article I'm thinking of, it just says he dreamt of playing for his local side.

Feel like the 'dreamt of playing' part definitely implies on the part of the journalist that he was a fan, but obviously, I'm not putting any weight behind the Sun and you've clearly got the inside track. Utd it is.

 

Well that's that then. No way should we be signing a player if he doesn't even support us. The fact he supports Utd just means he is middle class, lives in the south, and knows nothing about football.
