for the upthinth time this football club has broken my heart yet again. we deserved more, played well but yet again didn't take our chances and concede late again i've has a miserable day already for family reasons and was looking for at least a point or perhaps 3 to cheer me up but no when will it change and what is our problem apart from the obvious needing of a striker??
I think the problem is we don't have the quality. We need t work at 110% and hence are knackered at the end and little things slip
If we ever got a cushion that we were in front then the last 5 mins wouldn't matter so I think we need strikers, hardly a ground breaking statement I know!
Again we had enough chances. we should of had the game won before the 85 minute and that goal wouldn't of mattered
hendo had 2 great chances when he was 1 on 1 and his first touch actually took it back behind him! a half decent striker would have scored them but i must admit, probably his best performance so far this season. actually took shots on and worked hard
'Sell' implies that I have money! I have a bottle of white wine someone gave me but no bottle opener. Hmmm...this is like torture!
Typical Watford, play well and then almost hold out for a draw and let a goal in, this has happened quite a few times this season and today i was expecting it to happen.
or severely discombobulate it with a hammer venting all post match frustration through a medium of sheer rage and violence
Watford played well today - Newcastle's extra quality just told at the end. Oba Matins is a striker on fire, The Toon are pillorying up that table!
Wine related update: the bottle is open and the wine is disappearing. Watford related update: the defence is open and the team is disappearing
Me too, evidently! It's such an emergency corkscrew I forgot I had it and where it was. Until I found it...
Happy Xmas UEA. Richard, get yourself to Carrefour or whoever tomorrow and buy a case of beer for the last week or so of term. I will re-imburse you for the cost at the Fulham game - consider it an Xmas present from me to you. Noone (over 18) should have to suffer these sorts of results without some alcohol! We did make a lot of chances today and no-one buried them. Hendo actually had his best game for a while, but he had 2 plum chances near the end that it should be the business of any striker to put away. Tommy Smith had a very poor game; even usually first rate Hameur Bouazza was disappointing. We simply don't have the quality in the final 1/3rd of the pitch to compete effectively in this league at the moment (sadly).
i thought smith was ok and bouazza played very well. won most of or corners and his pace caused havoc.
