But, when he would have been agreeing terms over the past week or two, our club appears to have been in certain situations (Being careful of lawsuits) and so he may have opted for them over us.
Yes I do understand the situation. In a month's time it's true we may look back and think we didn't need him and we will all be excited at the signings we actually are making. But right now, because of what's going on, we are seeing most of our targets go elsewhere. That's fine when the takeover happens because we will be able to shop at Waitrose then rather than Poundstretcher..but if for any reason it doesn't....
Well, when we get taken over by Pozzo we can just buy him can't we? #Bothered? #Notintheslightest #letsallhavealittlesingsong
I can imagine caskey coming onto this site ready to gloat about Kuszczak before seeing all the stuff about the pozzos, udinese and Granada and thinking "s**t, they could become a much better side than us"
http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11741/7828773/Brighton-capture-Kuszczak [Gus Poyet] told the club's official website: "There were clubs in England and abroad interested in Tomasz, but it says a lot for the ambition of this club that he wanted to sign for Brighton." When did ambition become a synonym for wage bill?
Brighton capture Kuszczak Brighton have beaten off competition to sign former Manchester United goalkeeper Tomasz Kuszczak on a two-year deal. The Uruguyan manager told the club's official website: "There were clubs in England and abroad interested in Tomasz, but it says a lot for the ambition of this club that he wanted to sign for Brighton.that means we will just have to trust in our scott.:dismay:
I just think this is the most disappointing news for a very long time. While, quite rightly, we are all busy here getting excited about our probable future..and busy playing 'fantasy football' as we look through lists of possible loanees from Udine next season etc..our number one transfer target so far this summer, and a player who so improved us during his spell with us, has signed for the sort of Championship club that we are going to have to do better than to get promotion next season. Very very disappointed.
Let's be honest here. If there were Bundesliga clubs here, then Brighton would have had to have made an absolutely absurd offer to sign Kushack. I'm not talking about an incredible offer that guarantees him premier league football next year, loads of women and a lamborghini, but the type of offer than it simply not feasible for a tiny club in the English Championship. Signing players on absurd contracts is exactly the sort of thing that makes clubs go under. Yes, he's a top keeper, but could we ever have afforded him anyway? There should be a lot of good news coming our way in the next day or so, so let Brighton have their horribly expensive signing (only referring to wages obviously) and let's look forward to this coming season with the Pozzo's at the helm, where we could really become a excellent team in this division, without Kushack (who needs him?).
LOOKS LIKE HE WAS NOT IMPRESSED WITH US SO **** HIM, WITH THE CURRENT SITUATION FORMING AT WFC HE MAY REGRET HIS DECISION, SO GOOD RIDDANCE!!! Watford Observer » Sport » Watford FC » News » Watford FC News RSS Feed Manchester United goalkeeper Tomasz Kuszczak joins Brighton and Hove Albion 9:49am Wednesday 20th June 2012 in Watford FC News Picture: Action Images Picture: Action Images Watford target Tomasz Kuszczak has agreed to join Brighton and Hove Albion on a free transfer. Kuszczak has known for some time that he would be released by Manchester United and joined Watford on loan for the final two months of the season, making 13 appearances. The Hornets wanted to make the switch permanent but it always seemed unlikely they would be able to compete with other interested clubs when it came to wages. Kuszczak told Brighton's website: "I have played Premier League football for eight years, with West Bromwich Albion and Manchester United, and I believe the structure is in place here to join them. "The manager and coaching staff, the team, stadium, crowds, through to the plans for the new training ground, everything is geared up for playing at the highest level and I could sense that ambition to be a top club straight away. "Also when I played against Brighton last season, while on loan at Watford, I was very impressed with the way the team played - it was totally different to the rest of the Championship and more like what I was used to at Manchester United. "This team likes to pass the ball, they like to create, they are attractive to watch. The way Brighton play is the future of football. I had other clubs who wanted to sign me but my heart told me that this was the right choice." Kuszczak has agreed a two-year contract and the move will be completed on July 1
No point in getting upset about it VOR. Once the takeover has completed all our transfer targets will be ripped up, including Kuszczak. Not sure our offer was still on the table anyway.
I think he has made a mistake here, as assuming the takeover goes ahead I think we have a better chance of getting in the Premier than Brighton. However I suspect that Brighton offered far higher wages than we could offer even after any Pozzo takeover.
Udinese's highest paid player is only on 25,000 euro a week, not exactly massive wages. Still the right thing to do though.
We were 2-0 up in that game if he'd done his job instead of mooning about admiring Will Buckleys legs, and daydreaming about another big pay packet, then he wouldn't have conceeded the 2 goals that cost us a draw.
yeah Kuszczak had a great spell on loan with us, if it wasnt for him we would of finished lower down in the table. IF this takeover happens we can sign buffon so happy days!
TBF He probably has a point. Brighton are one of the footballing sides in that league whereas we weren't at times. Not that is a major issue..and we could get 4 points off them again.
And we were not, at times, due to a **** pitch. Oh well, I'm well and truly over it, just hoping we can get this takeover done so as to get players in as soon as pozzoble.
