What an effort from our new Slovak midfielder! Could still do with some more depth as I wouldn't like to see a 34 year old play every game, but if today was anything to go by I have no qualms about him starting whatsoever!
Impressive, very impressive. However I expect he will receive a fair few cards of both colours,so he won't play every game!
Having seen just how good he is, I'm a little surprised that a big PL club didn't go in for him earlier in his career
He was at Milan (albeit when they were a faded force), so maybe it would have been quite expensive to prise him from them!
Favourite moment was when he shoulder barged someone, took the ball, turned round and danced between another two players and played a perfect pass. Haven't heard applause like that for a sub in a long time - Dennis had a great reception as well. As others say, we do need another. Gosling isn't even close and the game went away from us as soon as he left the pitch.
It’s probably worth pointing out though Villa has around 52 forwards on the pitch by the last 10 minutes.
Was my MotM today. We saw good debuts from Dennis, Cucho and Etebo but Kucka beat them all. Great performance. He was immense. He's going to pick up yellows as that's his game, so we WILL lose him to suspensions during the season, but another player I'm really impressed with.
Matt Rowson described him in his match report as: "JurajKucka.... he looks like a hell’s angel but moves like a ballerina...
Transfer thread got locked before I could ask, but does anyone know Juraj's stance on the current Afghanistan situation?
Watford just put out a Kucka highlights reel with appropriate music. I think we need one of these every match.
That's very close to being a disaster. Adds a new dimension to the Hughes/Chalobah/new midfielder situation
**** off. Keep ******* off. Then **** off some more. Thank god we signed Louza although I wouldn't put it past Xisco to start Gosling on Saturday.
Who are football insider as I have only heard this reported by them and I have never heard of them before.
