I believe it's usually just the buying club's deadline that matters. For example Russian clubs can still sign Premier League players after the window has closed.
But they're ahead of us, so it'd be the other way round surely? They're deadline would be closed by now.
Not everyone has a 31st August deadline Simms. http://www.fifatms.com/en/Data/transfer-windows/ Russia was a poor example as it's January where they're a month out of kilter. Portugal though is 22nd September.
Betis have made it official he is ours for 1 Year... Depor that is http://www.realbetisbalompie.es/es/noticias/actualidad/3061/juanfran-traspasado-al-watford-fc
Will join us next summer after a loan spell with Deportivo. http://www.realbetisbalompie.es/es/noticias/actualidad/3061/juanfran-traspasado-al-watford-fc
Don't understand what we get out of that at all It's not as if he's the other Juanfran (the valuable one) worth waiting for and (if) a prem team we should have more options next summer
Agreed to sign for us next year http://www.realbetisbalompie.es/es/noticias/actualidad/3061/juanfran-traspasado-al-watford-fc
We've also signed Messi, but he will spend the rest of his career at Barcelona first with the option to pretend the deal didn't happen with a super injunction.
Like. Hopefully we will get to see him play next season. Big problem having all these quality players to choose from!! Although could also be a money making signing and we never see him at all. Either way, you can never own too many good players. Bit strange we finally pay a direct fee and still don't get to judge the potential of our investment.
Wouldn't be at all surprised if this were the case. Or at least any fee paid by WFC is covered by any loan fee received so if we don't go up we loan/sell on next August.
So is he signing for us and being loaned? Or is a gentleman's agreement in place? Wondering as what will happen if he has a great season in the La Liga this year
Not if we can't sign him tonight What I mean is it looks likely he will be a Betis player on loan at Deportivo this season. If he has a great season, will Betis cash in? They'd be mad to fulfil their agreement if it isn't legally binding
On the Betis page it states that he is on loan at Depor this season but he is then a Watford player from the 2015/16 season
I just hope we don't sell to soon and Forest don't decide to buy him for £8 million (okay that jokes a bit old now...i'll get my coat)
At least sietes had the good grace to turn up before he disappeared - this juan did not even bother to do that!
Judging by the game I was at the other night between Deportivo la Coruna and Rayo, Deportivo will need Juanfran alot more than Watford will. I suspect it will be a long hard season for my second Club Deportivo.
It is possible to complete a transfer and have it arranged for a later date, it just very rarely happens.
