Young goalkeeper who plays for Sunderland.

Has had a pretty good season, hes British and would be available if Sunderland go down.

Putting it out there for debate as no one has mentioned it yet.

I think he is just a little shorter than ideal.

Corrected for you. Would be great, but no chance. Liverpool and Everton both need a first-choice keeper, and so might other clubs even bigger than Watford.

No problem, just stretch him on the rack, there's a good one in the Tower of London.

I'd prefer that striker from Chelsea, Batshuayi.

  12. Should be up for Stealth Pun of the Season. Maybe it was just too good.

Good, but not the Number 1 stealth pun of the year

As far as I know Adam Johnson is in prison for statuary rape/light fingering and a bit of a blow1e?

Are you suggesting we break him out of prison for one last job ? Like some bad Jason Statham/Vinnie Jones movie ?

Does that mean that either Robles or Steklenburg will be on the move. are either better than Gomes and worth a bid?

I consider Robles terrible and Stekelenburg would be Pantilimon 2.0.

Not too late for a late £31m offer to seal it for us. Watch this space.

According to Sky this deal with Everton for £30mil is spread out over the long term contract that they are offering Pickford, which I would assume is 4-5 years. Not saying we would pay £30mil upfront but neither are Everton. Surely we can spread out £30mil over 4-5 years as well. I know he would still pick Everton over us but it would be nice just to see Sky freak out along with the Twitter world that Watford have matched Everton's bid for Pickford.

No pressure on the lad then!

You just know the first mistake he makes the media will jump on him.

£18m for pickford the other £12m is directly based on Everton winning silverware.

Think it's a good deal for them.

Remember when Loach was the next best thing in young keepers , see what the pressure did to him . Although Pickford has already had prem experience ,over 4 or 5 yrs I think Everton have a solid deal .

Think we could beat that by offering £65m with £60m of that dependent on us winning silverware (silvaware)

That is how every transfer is done: http://www.danielgeey.com/football-amortisation-chelseas-50m-luiz-profit/ or http://weaintgotnohistory.sbnation....lsea-fc-ffp-and-amortization-of-transfer-fees

Just to be a boring accountant, how you account for it purely affects the way the accounts look. Whether you wrote £30m off in one go or spread over 5 years, the cost profile (cash outflow) is the real key not how it appears in your accounts given we are under private ownership.
