[NOT HAPPENING] Joe Hart

Brings a lot of credibility with him. Head and Shoulders, Katie Price, shouting at Balotelli etc.

Would be our greatest ever signing and player.

Hart is probably aware that if he signs for us he will never be selected to play for England again, so this move seems unlikely

 

I’d be well happy with Hart to be fair, I’ve given him stick lately as England keeper and what not but I think for us where we are he’d be brilliant.

I think it’s one of those things where he’s been at the top level for so long he’s bound to have a bit of a shakey period but I do think back in the prem, bit of confidence back he would be back up there.

This is a sweeping generalisation but it’s curious that many Watford fans would have been very happy with Begovic who’s been stagnating on the bench for a while rather than someone who’s kept playing and taken a risk in search of regular playing time.

I cannot see it happening at all but if it did I would be very happy, obviously this is not taking in to account costs/wages etc. though commercially it might be a wise signing. He would increase our profile worldwide and could be a marker for other big name players to join.

 

I agree it's unlikely, but disagree that he'd never play for England again if he signed for us, especially with Southgate as England manager. Providing a player is playing regularly he considers them a genuine option. He even indicated Chalobah has an outside chance of getting in the World Cup squad if he plays this season.

Southgate commended Hart's decision to play abroad last year rather than just sit on the bench. As long as he's getting minutes at club level he'll be in the squad

 

I really cannot see it happening purely due to wages. But as someone else has mentioned, we took Almunia and Gomes after they were vilified by press and fans alike - and they turned out to be great signings. I'm curious as to know why Joe Hart wouldn't be welcomed on the same grounds? Has captained and home and international level, played in the Champs League, is homegrown. Besides wages, I can't see the problem with being in for him...

 

Plus his personal crusade against dandruff was an inspiration to us all.

2 years ago was being rated as one of the best in the world and now there are genuinely Watford fans who wouldn't take him.

Although that article is literally making news out of nothing the WO have actually had some decent articles and minor scoops out of that approach in the last few months.

 

Apparently the Pozzo's tried to convince him by saying 'you're already on the badge, so we'll rename the stadium after you'.

Apparently the reliable sawsez on Enjoooooooythetwats page are reporting that Joe Hart has been seen at Vic Road.

Not sure why because Ginos offices are at London Colney ,maybe his mum was buried at the cemetery , his niece was having a baby at Shrodells, or he fancied a pint of Stella and listening to Cally rehearse his latest House set at the RL
