Pollock seems like the sort of player who would benefit most from a manager like Ismael. It wouldn't surprise me if we see more of him moving forwards, and nor would it surprise me if he's upped his game considerably as well

Also wouldn’t surprise me if he is loaned out and never to be seen in a Watford shirt again, after being sold at the end of the season.

In fact, it’s the more likely option.

Well that performance from our 1.5M man was more than enough to show he's not good enough at the most crucial time. Air shot from 2 yards? Sorry, you have to score that. Even Bayo would of scored that. He's scored a few granted, but we need a striker who is willing to run at the backline and make a chance out of nothing. Healy has shown he is very patient for his chance, and surely, surely VI is not going to start Raj at Preston. Give Healy a go, see how he does.

GK, RB and striker are signings we must be making if at all possible.

Right back to cover for Andrews ?

Maybe if Ngakia’s fitness isn’t to be trusted.

Initially I was a fan of Rajovic because he could score a goal or 2 but it is clear that his all round play
is nowhere near good enough . The chance that he spurned , to me, looked like a lack of confidence
as he never anticipated the ball bobbling along the 6 yard area. We have to play out from the back at
all times because the ball does not "stick" with our current no.9 and just keeps coming back if we attempt a long ball. Bayo's press and work rate is good however he reminds me of Shane Long. He will work his socks off but goals are hard to come by .
As you have said we need a good target man as we have some tough away games in the New Year and
we will be under constant pressure defensively if our striker cannot get decent possession and the ball just keeps on coming back

.......and a commanding GK although Hamer hasn't done anything wrong IMO

Lousa must be going to generate funds with us probably spending 25% of it, maybe a couple of young loans and a free transfer will be our lot. The balance sheet is King I’m afraid!

25% of £2.5m is not a lot of transfer fund.

I’m quite relaxed about any of the players leaving. If we get a fee, which would probably be anything north of £8m, I think we’d sell.

You think we'd sell Asprilla for "anything north of £8m"?!

Good thing you've put me on ignore in an act of thin-skinned petulance, because you'll have a hard time justifying that viewpoint.

Ey? You do know it’s at a minimum £15m for Asprilla right? And that’s conservative.

We'll sell Asprilla for however much MacQuarie want us to.

Sure. I reckon he could do some ball juggling tricks during the breaks in their corporate away days.

After a season in League 1 and another half season towards the top of the Scottish league, he deserves a chance in the Championship, but he's very unlikely to get one here any time soon...

Louza will go - anywhere they can get his wages off the books.
Asprilla if we are desperate too.
Bachmann moved on if they think Hamer can last the season.

    Couple of loan signings.

    That'll be about it.

Yep. Louza market value has plummeted. Poor attitude. Poor injury record. Doubt we will get 2.5 to be honest for this unlikeable scrotum.

He may be an international but he's now a reserve championship CM. He's not worth a lot, agreed.

I would start Rajovic at Preston. Bayo can run lots but he has no end product. Our game plan on previous weeks has clearly been to play patient and open up space in the wide areas to put crosses in. Rajovic is much more likely to score than Bayo. If we bring in a striker we need a box striker that can get in the end of crosses like Rajovic, but they need to be better at holding the ball up. I wouldn’t want a right back to come in and replace Andrews and stop his development. Maybe a right back to cover as Ngakia is always injured. Arguably we need a left back more, Lewis hasn’t impressed me. For me we need another holding midfielder with some quality we can’t rely on Livermore all season to play every game and FS isn’t a midfielder.

Yes that was my thinking behind the need for a RB. Ngakia reminds me of Janmmat. Good player but fragile like glass. It's a shame because he started to play some good football before the injury. Lewis blows hot and cold. He can be alright one game then dog turd the next, and yes, we do need more consistent performers especially if we want to continue to move forward. As for Livermore, it makes you wish we got him five seasons ago. Good player, still works hard and leads the side well. Age is not on his side, but as long as he doesn't feel restricted by it and is happy to play - that is ok with me.

Think we need a striker . Get a decent one and I think we ll get play offs if we carry
on improving at this rate .

I think we should stick with what we have. I don’t think we have the funds to significantly improve on what we have. If we have any funds spend it on young prospects for future seasons.
