Out of contract in the summer, similar sort of player to Behrami (whilst being a lot younger), always been impressed with his performances when i've seen him play. Would need a thorough medical though after being injured for most of this season. Views? Inb4 the inevitable Pickford joke.
Watched his abysmal debut for Sunderland and that rather tarnished my view on him for a while. Apparently heroic during their survival last year, but pretty naff for the rest of it. Very good for Mainz, never had a shot at Bayern, okay for Schalke 04 and not played enough first team football for his age. Only 107 first team games at the age of 27. Quite a sad career really.
Had an awful start at Sunderland but has apparently been very good since. His injury record isn't pretty though but we do seem to target sick notes probably because they're on the cheap side.
Thank you, was trying to think why my view of him was negative, it is purely based on that debut performance and I really don't actually know if he's good or naff.
