Sarr to United would be truly hilarious. They have just signed a coach who is playing 4-2-2-2. The same formation that Javi struggled to fit Sarr into when he was foisted upon him and which ultimately saw to his sacking. Imagine being so incompetent you are replicating the **** ups of Watford's shambolic recruitment team.
Thinking about how lost the likes of Sancho and Rashford look playing for Man U doesn’t augur well for Sarr’s prospects there.
I can't bring myself to click on the link, but just seen the Daily Fail comparing Sarr to Beckham (presumably because of that goal) and saying Man U are looking at spending £50 million on him. Any credibility the DM had when reporting on WatfordFc should have disappeared with this story.
Think it's basically Mokbel and one other who have links to us at the Daily Heil, isn't it? Otherwise it's guff as usual.
Sarr is essentially prime David Beckham but with lightning pace. At least that’s what we will tell Man U.
Sarr couldn't score that goal again if you gave him 1000 goes at it. I reckon it was his first shot on target from outside the box in 3 years
Get French Football News @GFFN Breaking | Leeds United close to agreement with Watford for Ismaila Sarr, according to @Santi_J_FM . More follows.
Seen Sky Sports claiming Man Utd want PSV winger, Gakpo. He'll cost about £30m so if there's any truth in that, no chance he goes there. How reliable is the journalist who says Leeds want him?
Seems to be a different story or rumour each day !! 15 million is the reported fee and that would be quite a loss to make on Sarr. https://mobile.twitter.com/SportOwenO/status/1557410480108589056
Erm, most goalkeepers have never scored. A shot is when you're trying to kick the ball into the goal, isn't it? I think it was Xabi Alonso who used to try one from extreme distance most games. They only do replays of the successful ones!
Whilst it will be undisclosed - it won't be 15m It is a ridiculous number and a bad guess I suspect a guaranteed 25m with add ons
My point is most Goalkeepers could hit the target with a goal kick, I reckon. Not taking anything away from Sarr's vision, but the technique really isn't that difficult.
Sarr is best when he’s not thinking, it was an instinctive finish and he would absolutely score it again maybe 5-10% of the time. It’s when he has to think (penalties) he comes unstuck and a good coach could help him there.
Not sure it's comparable but I do get your point now. However, if was easy we'd see it happen far more often.
I was being facetious. More referring to hitting the target from their own half. In theory if the ball goes straight to the opposition goalkeeper it could be classed as a shot on target.
