the best thing about today, for me, was the thought that i mite never have to face the agony of watching henderson again. If we get collins john in, surely thatl be it for the * many explatives*
seeing askodi running around like a lunatic surely showed everyone who hasnt seen it up till now how little henderson actually does. he never chases balls down, never pressures the keeper, his itneractions in play are usually so bad that when I watch us play with him in the team, i feel we would be doing better with 10 men.

of late while i shout until hoarse about how useless he is, other people around have been agreeing, and surely, Aidy will see it for himself now.

as i always like to say (because its been true of every game ive seen this season), the only time hendo breaks a sweat is to run off at half time or after the warm up. no wonder he's got so much more energy than the rest of the players, because he just stands about for 45 minutes while ash has to do the running for both of them!

and also, without ever doing any running, ud think he would be useful to be on the edge of the box to aim at, but, ud be wrong again, seeing as he seems to like to lounge about roughly a third of the way from the half way line to the goal

now lets hope that thats my last EVER henderson rant, because he makes me so anggrrrry and i dont think its good for me

Well we wouldn't be where we are without him. And you obviously don't watch the same games I do if you think he doesn't try!

This is the Henderson who scored 16 goals last season including important ones against Luton,Norwich,Southampton and Leeds (Play-off final) in a league we are heading to next season in all probablilty?

If you think 2 young strikers in Askodi and Will Hoskins who Aidy has said are both for the FUTURE (although I do think they will be invovled this season) will slove all our goalscoring problems at once in the Premiership then you will be deluded I hate to say?

I don't think we have a hope in getting Collins John despite what AB said and ofcourse he missed a real sitter on Monday against us (if that is his standard of finishing for 20k a week then no thanks!)...I will give him a chance though ofcourse.

Agreed Hendo has not been great this season but I think we must keep him for now and is a useful squad player at worse.

He can score at Championsip level as we know and along with a fit King and the 2 new guys will hopefully be a part of a decent strikeforce (afterall I doubt Young will be around come August) to help us push for promotion again.

Darius does put in a lot of hard work and does make an effort in my view.

Its the likes of Damien Francis we should be worried about as he has no excuse for not performing at this level...done it with Norwich so why not with us?

If he does not suit our style then why join?...did he not find out about Aidy and his way of thinking before signing?

Well done on 'making yourself horse' at shouting towards one of our players saying how 'useless' he is...it is little wonder opposition fans say how poor our home support is at not getting behind our side!?

His effort can't be questioned, true. But how long do we give him?

great effort but is a championship player at best. he has had his chance in the prem. it is a shame we have had no pens as he takes a good penalties.

good bench player to have for final 10 mins and will be useful again next season if we do go down

I feel alot of sympathy for Hendo .... he's worked his socks off and nothing has gone his way.

Sadly the writing is on the wall but if he does leave then we all owe him a debt of gratitude for what he achieved last season.

I agree with you.. and though i have been saying for a while now that i say drop him i would like to have seen him make the transition to the prem but we cant afford to keep letting him "try"
I wouldnt sell him.. maybe loan him out to get his confidence back up but at the very least put him into the reserves and only call upon him in the first team if we really have too.

I still think Hendo has quite a big role to play. He has missed a striker like Marlon for much of the season and i think Hoskins will work well with him. It depends whether Aidy thinks Priskin would be a better option upfront and therefore go with raw youth.

He and Marlon both made scoring look easy last season and I can't believe he hasn't scored since that penalty.

Agreed, effort is there, just not Prem quality...

I haven't seen him take enough penalties to comment there though...

I doubt there were many that didn't think Darius would struggle this season. He puts in a lot of effort but if the was "Championship player" in the dictionary his face would be right along side it.

He was a key element in getting us to where we are this season and AB has given him a hell of a run in the team mainly due to lack of options (and incidently what does that say of Priskin?), but you have to draw a line somewhere.

I certainly don't think we should necessarily get rid of him and if his "would have been goal of the season" had gone in against Fulham he'd have really got a lift. Unfortunately his touch is poor, he's often slow to react and his confidence has taken a pounding this season.

Thats a big part of the problem.. his touch is very poor which must be terribly difficult against some of the worlds best defenders.

When was the last case you heard people moaning about our support at home? Im not claiming its amazing just i havent heard the normal amount of groans. I even overheard two oposition fans on way to wigan game going "so were gonna here the famous rookery" to which to be fair i did laugh out loud but i promise you they were being serious. I want to know how we can help this noise situation???

I rate Henderson. I really do. I think he's had rotten luck in front of goal this season (Man U home, Charlton Away) but he's showing much more to me in recent games (Had a good chance at hoem to Reading, that shot against Fulham) and I think he'll get a goal soon.

You can't question his work-rate: Second to none. He's becoming much more intelligent in his play lately and like I say, it's just a matter of when rather than if he'll come good and get in the goals.

May be dropped to the bench in favour of any two from Hoskins/Ashikodi/Young/Bouazza/Smith/Priskin, which I must say I'd like to see happen, I want to see how the new guys will cope.

Another thing is his value as a target man and assist maker. He had two assists against against Stockport and many for Marlon last season. But without a recognized striker as a regular striker partner the understanding is lost a bit.

I think he's struggled to cope with the PrL but he's also had some bad luck AND not had his regular partner to draw attention away from him, and to play off.

I'd stick with Hendo and give him either Tamas or Hoskins as a regular partner. Stick Ash on right wing and Boozer on the left. Keep Moses and Priskin/Hoskins on the bench for options. If - after 3-4 matches as part of the same forward setup, he still hasn't scored, drop him to the bench.
