A fresh start brings the potential for a reawakening of our imagination. There a no limits and here is my starter 10. 1. Proportional representation throughout Scotland's democratic processes. Improving electoral participation even from the fringes of society. 2. A universal income for every person over 18. Banishing poverty for a million people. 3. An end to the threat of MAD by unilaterally removing and denouncing WMD. 4. A renationalising of major infrastructure: energy, transport and housing. 5. Review of land ownership and of land management, including a strong rewilding and nature preservation policy. 6. A fair taxation system where those (like me) who could pay more contribute to a fairer redistribution of wealth. 7. Green initiative investment to promote a more sustainable way of life and creating careers. 8. Investing in our young people, by encouraging society as a whole to make the most of our best asset. The next generation. 9. An end to our fixation on growth to allow us to evaluate better what we have and act accordingly. A reduction of our consumerism for a more sustainable source of happiness. Community and togetherness. 10. A frictionless relationship with our nearest neighbours and beyond. An acceptance that Scotland is not mine but an opportunity for anyone who wants to seize the day and come here. Would love to have your opinions and advice for a fresh start. What’ve you got for me?
Especially in the context of the 'No' campaigning UK government representatives categorically stating there was no plan to take the UK (and so Scotland also) out of the EU.
