If WH go down to the Fizzy Pop it will be interesting to see how their finances hold up as it was reported on the radio today that much of their spending in the transfer market is being funded with bank loans (hopefully loansharks.co.uk ) I realise that they have their wealthy Icelandic benefactor to help out but he doesn't seem to be the type of person who will enjoy anything less than Prem football and he may soon loose interest.
You don't become a multi-millionaire by being an idiot. I'm sure he was aware that relegation was an inherent risk that came with buying the club. If he wanted no part in that not inconsiderable risk he'd have steered clear I'd say.
Be funny to see Lucal Neill hand in his transfer request and ****** of to liverpool 60k a week richer!
All I am saying is that a couple of years in the CCC with the likes of Lucas Neil on £50k must surely be unsustainable and I was surprised to hear that their spending was so heavily reliant on loans. I also seem to remember the takover was delayed as the full extent of the WH debt was not initially aparent to Mangnusson. There fan base is a plus, but there again so is the fan base of Wednesday/Forest/Leeds.
